Does teh Vatican have a recognised international team?  but it is a national side. But it doesn't have FIFA membership and hardly plays (last outing a 0-0 with Monaco three months ago) Giovanni Trappatoni once coached it, and its last win came in 2006, a 5-1 thumping of SV Vollmond (Switzerland) It hasn't won any of its six games since.

Would this be a bad time to admit I have over 50 international jerseys? (We call them jerseys here in the US). Can't decide if I love or hate that Uganda shirt. Keep the geese, lose the stripes and redesign the collar. |

So Rey Kahuka , what's you're favourite of your collection? Hmmm... Esthetically speaking it may be a toss up between Slovakia and the Czech Republic (I just realized the geopolitical ramifications of that statement). I also dig my Iceland and Chile jerseys. Of course my beloved USMNT jerseys have the most value to me as a fan. Wow, I just realized all those teams sport the colors of red, white and blue. What a patriot I am. I also appreciate the simplicity of my team Germany jersey, as well. Having roots in all of the UK as well as Ireland, I'd have to say my England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland jerseys are the most commonly worn non-USA jerseys. I'm probably forgetting an obvious one as I'm doing this off the top of my head. Football (soccer) Shirts (jerseys) usually look pretty slick and make great summer attire because they're so breathable. I have the tendency to lean toward national team jerseys over club jerseys because I don't want to be a walking billboard for yokohama tires or whatever. |
