Well, it's true. The DC Fans have been lording around for years, this is merely payback. And they haven't stopped despite the last of the Nolan series and EVERY entry of the DCEU getting its ass kicked by Marvel. Heck, to "prove" the DCEU is more successful, they have to intentionally ignore the world wide market and act like the domestic grosses of a single country are the most important thing. If someone's still only looking at how something performed in the U.S., they're operating under outdated thinking.

Some of the have the guts to own up and admit that Dark Knight just got lucky in several regards and odds are that if it came out in today's environment it might not be as well regarded.

I do like Heath Ledger's performance and there IS a good movie in The Dark Knight, not hidden very far down actually, that's just tainted by many vices. Seriously, introduce Dent in Batman Begins, have Batman stop Lau at the airport instead of wasting a half-hour of the audience's time with a scheme to kidnap a man from his home in a country on the other end of the world, just chop the entire "Dent threatens Gordon's family" scene off of the end, and just let Two-Face disappear into the Gotham criminal underworld. There, I've fixed most of the film's problems not pertaining to the Joker's omnipotence and omnipresence.

DC has always been more interesting than marvel whenever marvel doesn't have spiderman and x-men in the mix and since mcu doesn't have spiderman (fully) and x-men, DC is going to excel more

They've gotten over just using Spidey and the X-Men over and over and over again.

Back in the 80s and 90s maybe, but nowadays they're finally realizing that maybe they'd wasted their time on the X-Men and the rest of their characters are plenty awesome if given the chance.

^^^ weirdraptor said: "reactionary", you keep using this word, it does not mean what you think it means. Or what status quo ante do you wish to restore? Also, your old inferiority complex and your they-spilled-first-blood paranoia is shining through again. Sad. Said the man who can't even use capital letters or any other proper punctuation. When you get a better handle on even one language, we'll talk again, pig. This is the guy that assumed that I didn't know what a hypocrite was and pulled that 'it does not mean what you think it means' bullshit, only to call me a hypocrite about one week later, and yes, punctuation is a fantasy to him. He keeps living with the delusion that MCU films are for kids and TFA is terrible. But he did make an intelligent post today though.

I really need to just post that clip from Winter Soldier where they show us how Hydra keeps control of Bucky whenever they use the "kiddie" argument. Nothing says family entertainment like a man being forced through shock therapy/torture.
