Do you watch mostly for pleasure, or do you actually try the recipes yourself?

I have never made any of the recipes seen on these shows. I just watched them for their entertainment... I remember from a couple of decades ago Julia Child adding alcoholic ingredients to her dishes " For A Little Bit Of Flavor"... For some reason I also seem to think she tasted them separately too... But I have always been fascinated by the fact that Martin Yan, of "Yan Can Cook", never chopped off his knuckles while chopping veggies. Also, Not too long ago, I saw a clip on YouTube, of why he carries extra long chopsticks with him to chinese restaurants... So when his table is out of food, he can grab food from another table!

The only cooking show I’ve ever watched is this Australian one called The Katering Show – precisely because it makes fun of all those other cooking shows. It’s highly entertaining, but I haven’t tried any of the recipes myself.

I haven't watched a cooking show since "The Galloping Gourmet" back in the Seventies.
