Nooo. Don't lose the goodwill you got from WW. Do what you need to do, Whedon.

When you get right down to it, would showing Superman really be any different from the CW trailer showing Spider-Man, or the Thor: Ragnarok trailer showing the Hulk?

But Superman is supposed to be dead. Yes, we all know that he isn't, but if they show him in the trailer then what was the purpose of his death? I just don't get it. They should at least pretend like he's dead. They can't just betray the ending of their own movie.

So is he evil in this one? Man, I just don't know about this.
Anyone that is more familiar with the character: could this be Bizarro Superman?

But the end of BvS already hinted that he would eventually come back, and the fact that Henry Cavill is in JL hasn't exactly been a huge secret.

No Superman at all. Just the casket broken or his eyes open at least

I am uncertain as to whether they'll pull another Doomsday on us but I can see a random blurry shot of him flying or something.

I still don't see what was so especially spoiler-worthy about the Doomsday thing. It was a spoiler for sure, but it wasn't really a "gave away the whole movie" level spoiler. They still didn't reveal that Superman would die.

They still didn't reveal that Superman would die. It was the way the trailer was cut, it was a condensed version of the film, beat for beat, causing them to deflate the "V" in BvS. And Doomsday......kind of indicated Superman would die (for those aware of the story)

Before the Doomsday trailer, I was certain that the villain they would ultimately end up fighting would be Bizarro myself, mainly since I didn't think they'd do the 'Death of Superman' story in only the second film.

This shouldn't even be news, ScreenRant are just getting desperate for clicks. It's taken from the DCEULeaks subreddit, a place renowned for it's great fan ficti... I mean legitimate leaks from WB... Of course. Even if the "leak" has levity, it only said that Superman has an "evil look", didn't say he was outright malevolent which arguably means that it's just a marketing trick from WB to make it look like Superman is evil when maybe he isn't. Regardless, I doubt the story anyway, WB/DC have made dumb decisions but they're smart enough to know that the crowd and critics don't want an evil and darker Superman, cos even their decent portrayal of Superman from the past two movies has been interpreted as 'edgy' and 'gloomy' for some reason (Gee I dunno, would you be smiling with fucking rainbows in the back of the world hated you?!). They seemed to be building up to a lighter Superman anyway with that sacrifice in BvS, with the world accepting him as their true hero, his rebirth should act as a symbolic one as he comes back a more positive man and as someone who is confident over their job and responsibility to save the planet. Making him outright evil is dumb and counter productive to me, it would take away from the nice Three story arc they seemed to be building. And no, I don't think evil Supes from the Knightmare has much or any significance, that was just a 'what if' scenario... So yeah, I don't believe this so called "leak".

I say do a little tease, but don't dump a big spoiler like they did with Doomsday.

They should just show a little more Lois. Much easier way at hinting his presence without showing him.

Doing a tease for his return is one thing. Showing him with an evil smirk implying that he returns as evil Superman is completely unnecessary...
