I feel the same way. The Wolves seem to think that Butler is the piece of the puzzle that will take them to the playoffs. Odd.

It's because he's a two-way player who is also an efficient scorer, in terms of points per shot and cleaning up at the FT line.
Do I think he'll lead the Wolves to the promised land? Nope. But it does show the sad state of affairs when there's such a value on players who actually bother to play defense, aren't lazy, and aren't prone to ridiculous mental lapses. You could argue the Cavs are doomed to keep falling short to the Warriors because of their lack of two-way players, and I think lots of front offices are seeing that issue now...despite the run and gun, 3-happy league, it's still important to get stops.

Yeah, I don't get it either. He's a good player, but that's about it. He can't carry a team like LeBron or Durant.
