Casino Royale didn't need a sequel, and Skyfall didn't need a sequel that tied Skyfall to CR and QoS. I'm all for trying something different, but these two movies are basically the same story. It's Bond versus a boring villain with a boring plot.

In the end i think i enjoy Quantum of Solace more than Spectre and that's sad

Gotta agree with you, especially the statement that "It's Bond versus a boring villain with a boring plot".

And whose bright idea was it to make Bond and Blofeld foster brothers? That's straight outta Austin Powers. Was Goerge Lucas ghost-writing "SPECTRE"? And in QoS we had a French midget going against Bond.

They're way better than Die Another Day or A View To A Kill.
Bond movies are going to be continued to be made. You're going to get stinkers in a franchise this old.

I just find it a little sad that half of DC's Bond movies were wasted on stupid stories. But I suppose that's par for the course with each Bond actor.

DAD and AVTAK, despite all their flaws are WAY better than QoS and SPECTRE. A brooding Bond does not automatically make his movies better. This the Nolanite and DC-Fanatic thinking.

QoS has become my 2nd fav in the franchise, not least because it does play so independently from CR. When CR came out, it trained us to think the era would now be on a fixed rail. Well, I was initially disappointed that QoS wasn't allowed to carry on so continuously, & beyond with Skyfall & Spectre, which play like their own 1-2 parter.
QoS has Craig at his physical peak, awesome car chase, foot chase, boat chase, plane chase, hot Bond girl, solid villain, exceptional locales, & water geopolitical angle ahead of its time. I really like it.

They were both very boring films with nothing original or memorable about them.

Skyfall suffered from an awful villain. I'm not blaming the actor, but what he was made to say and to act was often dreadful.
Spectre is WAAAAAAAY too long. It has no business being as long as it is. The opening is drawn out too much - not just the continuous shot but the helicopter sequence. I realize nowadays it's impossible to do any stunts that haven't been done before, but Bond fighting some dude in a helicopter was boring A.F.
Only thing I liked about Spectre was the henchman.
I want them to totally revamp the series, because Mendes's approach wasn't working.

yeah Spectre was essentially what Quantum of Solace should have been. now I think Quantum of Solace is a piece of shit, but I like Spectre, and I do think if they want to help give Spectre more meaning then they need to take character and elements introduced in the film into the next.

I can't remember anything about QoS in order to label it as anything. That bloke from Butterfly and Diving Bell and something something facility in desert blows up.

That bloke from Butterfly and Diving Bell and something something facility in desert blows up. yeah the film slapped in the face with the writer's strike, so the film eventually became an aimless film, a film with an incomplete plot, empty characters, all suffocated by noise filled action. I've fallen asleep while watching the film on numerous occasions, and always wake up thinking "oh shit did I miss something?" only to recall........that...........no, no I didn't because it's a hollow movie. even the classic staples of bond girl and bond villain are just tossed aside, i'm not saying he should get over Vesper, but at least cast a bond girl with some type of presence, and villain that you love to hate, not just hate because of the astounding levels of pretentiousness.

Although I did enjoy QoS, all that buildup to the replacement evil organization was ultimately useless. Ironically from what I can remember, Quantum seemed tougher than Spectre and that's the real crime. Bond beat the latter in their debut appearance in the Craig continuity.

Was Goerge Lucas ghost-writing "SPECTRE"? When I watched SPECTRE, my immediate thought went to Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge. It kinda worked there because the Monkey Island franchise doesn't take itself seriously, and makes good use of cheesy clichés precisely because they are cheesy. It was really the dumbest thing they could have done in a Bond film.
