Black Mask, since we haven't gotten him in a live-action film yet. The Joker also shouldn't have a major role.

Nothing about that movie has actually been confirmed, other than that it's supposedly being directed by David Ayer and stars Margot Robbie. There was that tweet that Ayer made a while ago, but who knows what that meant. Frankly, I don't think GCS should even be made to begin with, especially if we're going to get a Batgirl movie.

I wouldn't be surprised if this film happens since Margot is producing it alongside WB/DC, but I think she's going to have to pass through more hoops than before, since it seems DC is really hunkering down.

Let Joel Edgerton or Guy Pearce be Black Mask to hire Deathstroke. I hope it's an all-out action extravaganza with Batman fighting Deathstroke at least 3 times.

I thought there was an "official" announcement tho?? Granted yeah I kinda dont want that one either especially since there will already be a Batgirl movie, likely before that film now. We will see what happens.

I always thought of Batman and Deathstroke as a respectful rivalry. They both hated, yet immensely respected each other. That dynamic could be really interesting to see play out on the big screen. Plus more battles are fun because these guys are essentially the closest you can get with power, skill, and strength before you become a straight-up superhero. They are very evenly matched.

Having just rewatched Under The Red Hood, I can see it bearing a superficial resemblance to that film if they're not careful. What with a masked mystery villain intervening in some fashion and a who's who from Batman's rogues gallery making an appearance.

That's one of the better DC animated movies. For live action, they should save that for the Red Hood himself. They already set him up a bit.

I'd like to see a character we haven't seen yet -- so I find the thought of Black Mask appealing. Black Mask and Deathstroke. That would make for a killer Batman movie. If Black Mask is for any reason unavailable, I would probably throw it to a villain like Two-Face, Hugo Strange, or the Penguin.

If the movie takes inspiration from the Arkham games (like rumours suggest) we may very well see many new villains from rogues gallery.

From what I have read Deathstroke, the Joker and the Scarecrow are heavily rumoured to be in this movie and this series of Batman movies is rumoured to take inspiration from the 'Arkham' games (as Chatterer pointed out above) which means we could get a really awesome scary psychotic version of the Scarecrow with a disfigured face like we saw in 'Arkham Knight.' The problem with the Scarecrow in 'Batman Begins' was apart from not being scary he was not psychotic enough. The Scarecrow is meant to be really demented and wants to wipe out everybody and he STAYS in costume Not that I'm saying you're wrong, but where did you read about that?

The Scarecrow is meant to be really demented and wants to wipe out everybody and he STAYS in costume Not that I'm saying you're wrong, but where did you read about that? RUMOR: The Batman Is Inspired By The Arkham Games By Matt Joseph 7 days ago4chan is at it again. With Wonder Woman reigning supreme at the box office – for the record, Patty Jenkins’ DC origin movie has racked up $652 million worldwide, and is now the third highest-grossing domestic film of 2017 behind Beauty and the Beast and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – the DC Extended Universe has been thrust under the microscope once again, and 4chan has relayed the latest helping of DC-related speculation for us to dissect. Coming to us by way of Reddit, before we get into things, it’s important to stress that 4chan’s report ought to be filed firmly in the rumor cabinet for now – remember, Warner Bros. plans to keep a lid on its release plans for the likes of The Batman, The Flash, and Gotham City Sirens until Justice League swoops into theatres in November. Nevertheless, the rumor mill continues to operate at full tilt, and one possible nugget of information concerns Matt Reeves’ embryonic spinoff featuring the World’s Greatest Detective. Without an exact release date to report at this time, there’s still much we don’t know about The Batman – ditto for the potential involvement of Josh Gad as The Penguin – but 4chan’s findings go on to claim that the project is still on schedule, with a 2019 release being eyed. Not only that, but we’re also hearing that the plot is inspired by the Arkham games, with things kicking off after a massive breakout at Arkham Asylum orchestrated by none other than Deathstroke. Apparently, the plan is to keep most of Ben Affleck and and Geoff Johns’ story in place, with Chris Terrio putting his own little spin on it. There’s also mention that the script will involve most of the major Batman villains, something we’ve heard on numerous occasions now. That’s largely due to Reeves, who wants to make a larger scale film with all the big name antagonists. Of course, that remains unconfirmed, but several reports point to it being the case.
