I'm a subscriber to the Shostakovich Journal and have thumbed through the equivalent magazines for Delius, and Haydn, each often professionally produced and with scholarly contributions, reviews, diaries & etc, offering tidbits and miscellanea which make for a fuller appreciation of their respective subject . I've seen good efforts, too, on behalf of Schubert, Spohr, and Vaughan Williams. Are there any here able to recommended some more?

It is interesting how some second-rank composers inspire such a loyal following. The Spohr Society does very well for itself in the UK for instance, with an excellent publication.
