The film didn't necessarily progress the DC universe since it takes place a 100 years before the current timeline, yet, it was super successful. I mean, sure, it gave us Wonder Woman's backstory, but that could have easily just been told in a few sentences in a future DC film, but they took a risk of doing a movie about. You take out the beginning with Diana receiving the picture in the beginning from Wayne and film could almost be a complete stand alone apart from the DC universe. And the best part about it as well is that it's completely accessible for all audience groups. You don't need to know anything about the source material. I think the producers need to take that as a sign to move away from Snyder's plan or strategy for the DC universe. He has a lot of interesting ideas, but he just does not know how to execute it properly. Batman v Superman is really a film for the fans. Films shouldn't be like that though. They should be accessible to all audience members without having to read the source material. The way Justice League looks, based on the trailers, there's a lot of stuff going on and I feel like it's going to be another "film for the fans."

There are too many fans that were calling for a solo film for all of these character (especially Wonder Woman) and you think that they just could have told it in a few sentences? Don't be ridiculous. You should have just left it at the fact that the film was super successful.

I don't really see much irony there.

Not really seeing any irony in what you've written.
