I Like the larger, visible Avatars and a lot of the other new features.
One thing I miss from IMDb is the ability to reply to a specific post/nest mode which I though was more conducive to longer conversations within the thread compared to the “quote” function most other message boards (including this one) has.

Many IMDb discussion boards are grinding to a halt as the final day comes. IMDb v2 has lots of activity on plenty of threads. It's looking good so far.
Imo at least, BB ;-)

I have noticed that somebody created a Reddit IMBD sub thread?
WTF?
How could this relate to the old IMBD boards format?
The only failing of this IMBD2 site is that we lack online promotion to gather more membership once the ship goes under and all the people jump here, then we might plateau in membership.
We should have a new movie release board that is HEAVY-DUTY to keep and attract more members.
* Duh went to edit my last post- then it wiped out/strange-
thanks for the qoute and the video clip- Baby.

Definitely like that we can post actual pictures instead of sharing a link to one! Going to make for alot fun reactions to topics! It's also creating some troll problems. I hope I won't ever have to disable that feature because of them.

The amount of trolling that I have seen has not be so much, that all of us can't handle an occasion forum bomb. You've done a great job on cleaning them up.

I was actually looking into that earlier. It's not a built-in feature, but I believe it can be done with codes or scripts. I had one working on a test forum, but it didn't work on the mobile version of the site. If there's any loophole at all, they'll find it.

Can't remember the name or what they posted but it was like the dick pic. All of a sudden, the top 15 or so posts had been hijacked.

Yes the lack of quoting was annoying, in the early years I used to moan about it always thinking at some point they would upgrade, well I got that wrong.

You shouldn't punish everybody for the actions of a few bad apples. You just need to assign moderators to help monitor any troll problems.

At the moment my primary complaint is that it's slow. Hopefully that will change a bit next week. I've taken to routinely clicking on "Recent Threads."

In a worst-case scenario, isn't there some way to set it so that you need, say, 100 posts before you can post photos, etc.?

I hope I won't ever have to disable that feature because of them. I had mentioned this two weeks ago on IMBD as my major concern over a picture posting board. We all know it only takes one devoted idiot to mess things about. We do need a 'Zero Tolerance' policy for posting abusive pictures or Vid-links, (it is already stated in the board rules). How this would enforced? Haven't a clue. Having said that- I am adult enough to tolerate the occasional idiot that slips by, rather than do completely away with the pic-posting option. It will only be a phase in the beginning and when the membership matures then the good posts should hopefully push them out. Oh, LOVING the quick site navigation features at the top of the page and reflecting on the 'Like' option, that is a good feature and let's people know that you appreciate their post even though you may not have something to add to it. Rather than up/down voting which makes for a 'lemmings off the intellectual cliff ' experience. Did I tell you how much I appreciate all the good work you have done lately for us Mr. Administer! Thank you!

It wouldn't be a punishment; it would be a protection of this forum. As tolerant as I am, we still have to answer to ProBoards' ToS. Moderators are being assigned as we speak.

Thank you! I do have a zero-tolerance policy in regards to porn floods and the like. I don't warn. I just delete and ban. The vigilance of the members here is invaluable. Thank you for the kind words, @eriknight . You're most welcome!
