i'm not so certain
that there's even enough heroin
on this planet
or
any other
to sedate enough
sisters
and or brothers
into believing theirs is a nation
like no other.

or inviting
a female wonder
to placate your kids.
i can remember
when live and let live
meant
minding your own fucking business
as you
silently slid

your secretary
as
your sons boy scout troop sang
nearer my god to thee
while
nixon was screwing
