Seriously, all of their attempts have been disappointing at best and 'Fant4stic' was one of, if not THE worst big-budget film ever made.
And now, they're reportedly planning this:
www.gamespot.com/articles/next-fantastic-four-film-reboot-might-be-a-kids-mo/1100-6451102/
Given that Fox has pretty terrible portfolio when it comes to kid-friendly films that are not from Blue Sky, a lot of people, including myself, would presume that it would end up like an 'Alvin and the Chipmunks' film. I mean, why can't they just take Elsa's advice?
As for me, I would rather watch a Power Pack film by Marvel over whatever Fantastic Four film that Fox is making.

Its a way to keep Marvel from getting it back. They will willingly lose money just to kill an IP to the point that it'd be useless by the time Marvel might conceivably get it back.

I'm just disappointed they messed up SILVER SURFER and then never did FF3 with the cast from the first movie. I didn't care for Alba, but I loved the three guys in their roles. Particularly 'Ben' and 'Johnny', as they had such good chemistry. Sometimes I wish they'd find a way to either bring Chiklis into Disney's MCU so he and Evans could share some scenes again, or that he and Evans could get a movie outside of the Marvel-verse to star in together. Maybe a buddy-cop movie? Something where they get to poke at and joke with each other, but at the end of the day will always have each other's backs?
So which way would you all rather have further FF movies be-- fun and family-friendly or more gritty and Nolan-esque? I liked the more cheeky, fun, brightly coloured version we saw in the movies with Evans and Chiklis, but I'd be the first to admit I hated their Doom because he just wasn't scary enough.

It's pretty obvious that Fox doesn't give a shit about the Fantastic Four license and is only making them to keep marvel from getting it back, without making a purchase.

I always felt that the look and feel of them fit pretty well with the Raimi films. I kind of imagine that as a separate Marvel universe. Or an unseen part of the current one!
