I know of someone who has the genuine gift of prophecy, and he told me that she ditched her plane and landed upon an island.

Yes, she got plastic surgery due to the severity of her injuries. Very expensive.

Would you be happier if If I stated that he was a psychic?

They know for a fact that she did and landed on a Japanese controlled island Milli Atol. She was sent to Saipan where she was with Noonan, who was beheaded, two years later. There are not any statements as to her actual death. Saipanese natives who witnessed her ("a man") stated that she was ill with dysentery.

...oddly enough, as a collector I own a set of 1953 Look-n-See bubblegum cards issued by Topps. The only card I am missing is the one depicting Amelia Earhardt. So she is indeed missing as far as I am concerned...

I've seen a few documentaries based on the various theories and they are all quite interesting...
However, I have trouble with Elgen Long's theory that Amelia crashed and sank near Howland Island
1.) He claims she had a faulty compass... How does he know? If that were true, Amelia should have known that too and after flying around 3/4 of the world, don't you think she would have compensated for it?
2.) The maps of the time, incorrectly marked the location of Howland Island... OK, perhaps that is true. I don't know. I'll give him that one... But the Itasca, and her base camp found the island, before Amelia was due to arrive. Don't you think that they might have figured that out, and sent word to her, before she left Lae, New Guinea?
3.) Elgen Long has said that "she ran out of gas, just like she said on the radio"... That's BS! She said she was running "LOW". He is putting words in her mouth. She took off with 24 hours of fuel, and her last radio transmission was approximately 19 hours. (I Think). Amelia should had at least 4 hours worth of fuel left on board. Being out in the middle of the ocean with no land in sight, means that IS low. Elgen needs to prove that Amelia was not flying her plane with the optimal fuel settings, and he has yet to do that...
4+ hours worth of fuel left. That means she could no longer waste time flying around in circles looking for an Island which they can not find, and having no one who could help her find it...
However, that is enough time to support other theories...
As for the rest of them... I don't believe any eyewitnesses are lying, and honestly believes what they say... While I suppose it is "possible" that all of the other theories, could have all happened, and they are somehow linked... I seems most likely that only one could be true... So that raises a grand question...
If Amelia Earhart was not on the "Uninhabited" Gardner Island (now Nikumaroro)... Who sent at least three confirmed radio distress calls that have been triangulated to that island?
If Amelia's plane didn't crash at Mili Atoll, and wasn't captured by the Japanese... Who was the female pilot that was reported to have been a prisoner?
If Amelia's plane and Official Personal Documents were not on Saipan... Who was flying another plane with the markings NR16020, and why would the Japanese create false official documents with Amelia Earhart's name on them?
Some people claim that human memory is very poor, and that these eyewitnesses are mistaken. Well, then, there sure are a lot of people from all over that region who "must" be wrong...
So, if it wasn't Amelia Earhart... Who was this "second" female pilot who was flying in that region, posing as her?, at that time?
And if human memory is so poor that these witnesses can't be counted on to remember... A "RARE" female aviator flew a plane in the area and was taken prisoner just before WWII...
They why do we have any witnesses in court trials at all today?

George lost his handle. Never place things in your pocket. So I take it you are happy to accuse people of things they did not do and avoid owning up to your culpability. I am glad you have been outed as the moral void you are.
