While he is wrestler, I think he is really a good and funny actor from what I've seen his movies, but when I saw his scene from The Fate of the Furios, then I realized that he plays just.. the same roles. I still like him, but I'm surprised there are a lot of people who found him a fun actor and they're pretty excited for his new movies. What's his best performance from?

I hated SNITCH but I thought it was his most nuanced performance. Anyone remember that?

He's a good comedic actor and a good action star but a sub-par dramatic actor.
He's still by far the best wrestler turned actor.

I do remember Snitch and I agree that it's his best performance.

He pretty good.
He has charisma on par with Will Smith & Cruise and he is often the best actor in the types of movies he's in.
He's not going to win an Oscar anytime soon, but he doesn't detract from a film either.

Walking Tall was pretty fun. I also liked the Scorpion King. Hercules was okay, but I actually preferred the one with that Twilight actor. I thought it was strange that two Hercules films came out back to back like that.
I agree that I doubt he'll be nominated for any Academy Awards anytime soon, but he's great in "popcorn" films.

He's more "movie star" than "actor", but he's good at being a movie star.

He's awesome, but his body type limits the kind of roles he can play I think.

I think he knows exactly how seriously he should take himself. He's surprised me a lot of times and isn't above poking some fun at himself. He seems like he's always having fun with his roles, and that comes out in his performances. A lot like classic Schwarzenegger, but with a different kind of energy. Arnold is a little better at selling anger, Dwayne is a little better at selling comedy.
He was awesome in "Pain and Gain" and plays a slightly different character than he normally does. His back and forth with Mark Walhberg in that movie is the highlight.

I think this is a very underrated modern action movie. There are a lot of bad ones nowadays – and the genre has really taken a nosedive since its heyday – but this one is pretty good.
