It didn't really have much of anything to say about the horrors of war. If anything it treated war like it was just 20 or 30 guys in a ditch.
you must have fantasized about opening new threads about whether "Gal Godot gets banged in costume" again, as you seem to have missed parts where an entire village is wiped out, and WW fighting the god of war himself, which is to be taken as as an allegory. Deep, dark and gritty enough for an CBM. But don't you worry, friend! As they say: The turd is always floating at the shallow end of the pool. And recent MCU endeavors are rife with turds and shallowness. Have fun with it. Her fight with the god of war was pretty eye rolling so I hope that's not what you're praising as a highlight of the film. And yeah a village got wiped out. That makes it a better film because??? why?
And the recent MCU endeavors have been fucking awesome. I'm sorry you're missing out.

How much of that money goes into your bank account? Why would you even care? It's petty and silly. Why people like you make these comments?
The points from my football team scoring don't go into my bank account either, but I still enjoy it.
I mean really, these types of responses are so silly.
Do you also care how much money your football team makes? If so, why? If it's to use in a penis measuring contest against other grade school children, then good for you.

I don't know why you think somebody can't be interested in financials.
It's not being used in a dick measuring contest. It's just that people like you think that's the only reason somebody can be interested in it. I have no idea why.

Okay, man, no hard feelings, we will just agree to disagree.

Okay, man, no hard feelings, we will just agree to disagree. We weren't disagreeing.
I'm interested in financials and like discussing them.
You wanted to do the chat room thing where you pretend that can only be done childishly. There's no disagreement. There's just you misunderstanding.

No, I think it's stupid. You don't. Disagreement.

No, I think it's stupid. You don't. Disagreement. It's stupid to follow financials? Why? Is it stupid to follow sports scores? I'm interested in the results. If you're not interested great, but there's no disagreement here. Just don't be interested if you don't want to.

I could make $4 on a deal that I though I would make $3 on and that would be 33% more than I expected. That doesn't mean that my $4 earnings is massive. You don't define massive by percentage increases. Massive would be exceptionally large, and compared to other films (SWTFA, SM2, LOtR, BvS, AAoU, et. al.) $15.4 million is not massive. It's not that much more than films like Man of Steel and Wonder Woman. And yet this is massive. Listen if you're really offended by the choice of words, then call it a really big opening Thursday. Whatever makes you happy. I only wish you would stop exaggerating. Saying that a $15.4 million Thursday is a massive opening when it is only the third highest opening of the year behind Beauty and the Beast and Guardians of the Galaxy and these three dwarfed by films like Star Wars: the Force Awakens, Spider-Man 2, Lord of the Rings, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the claim that it is massive is pretty much a stretch. Obviously, you used that word "massive" to bait people into reading this thread.

The quality of a movie is not equal to its box office. But thats a thing, only true and real movie fans could know.

Relax and stop working yourself up over the word.

What happened to how iconic WW is? What happened to the claim that people were worn out of Spidey reboots and it was the 6th film?
A 26% higher Thursday opening for a 6th film, 3rd reboot, that opens just 4 weeks after the best DC film so far?
it is all that, you just commit your usual bandwagon fallacies (which is ok for a guy like you). I am not a DCEU fan mind you, but WW is a milestone, that has actually something to say about the horrors of war, unlike any MCU film (I have seen so far). It is not about lowbrow laser battles in WW II, or about about the size of raccoon turds or even about the suffering of an infertile woman feeling like a monster for it, and wishing to hide the zucchini... Spiderman may make billions, but as just another play it save kiddy re-reboot it will be forgotten soon as it should. I actually thought Iron Man showed the horrors of war, the horrors of being a prisoner of war, and the horrors of being a man who was directly involved in creating the tools for that war. Although, that was mostly the first like 30-45 minutes of the movie. It's still my favorite MCU film. Anyways, I'm immensely happy for Wonder Woman. Even if I hated the movie I'd still be happy it's doing so well. Wonder Woman, the DCEU, the fans, and especially female filmmakers and actresses deserve such a big win. DC .. Marvel .. Why can't we be friends?
