Now, more or less the armies of the house Lannister and the defecting houses of the Reach are gone, the gold for the Iron bank is gone, maybe a dragon hurt but there is still a Samwell Traley who might not only heal greyscale. And with Jon it is now again the Reach, Dorne, the Vale, Riverlands, the North...and maybe soon the Stromlands. The Westerlands have been sacrificed to gain Highgarden. There is no military that could drive out the unsullied or prevent an uprise of the Riverlords. In terms of the military, Cercei is done, and since the time of sea battles are over, Euron is also of little use...maybe his final job is to provide the Nightking with ships...he would be stupid enough to plan a counter attack from the North (Gulltown, White Harbour) and getting to close to Eastwatch. Didn't they say, before the ambush, that the gold reached King's Landing? EDIT: Randyll Tarly says it at the very beginning of the scene:

Yeah I thought they said something about the gold being in the city, this was just the stragglers or whatever. Either way the mercs from Essos will end up allies of Daario Naharis in a twist that surprises nobody.

All the money (bar Bronn's bag!) made it to King's Landing. The fact there will be no wheat for KL makes a siege much more likely to work there.

Yeah I wasn't clear as to what stage they were in as far as collecting/transporting the harvest. Seems very shortsighted. Winter is coming and you destroy all the grain? How about routing the army and taking the baggage train for yourself?

Uhh, folks, a number of you here are, I'll be polite, a little too much into it.
Shit, just watch the show for the tits and quit memorizing all the different houses and their allegiances. My God, I bet you can't even tell us who were the Allies in WWII, but you sure know the relation between House Lannister and the Eyrie.
Watch it for the tits!

I can really get obscure and start talking about whose house words among the minor houses of any given realm are the best.

I pretty sure I can name our enemies in WWII. Anyway: ok, the gold is in King's Landing but not in Braavos. Let's assume Jaime survives but gets once more captured and is offered for ransome: What would Cercei do? Free her brother, or give it to the Iron bank in order to continue her war efforts.

Excellent point, that would be a fantastic place to take this story. No doubt she would sell him out which would finally turn him away from her once and for all.

cercei is power mad - any love of family is gone and dieing each day - she will give him up and he will be captured by the wall, she has seen the influence er position can bring from suitors-however he has allways had a bit of niceness about him - and he may end up helping ou against the true enemy rather than the bollox before it.
i hope the walkers fck everyone up - no one will expect that and get all angry - it will break the internet.

Also bluerisk I'm concerned you may be a Nazi since you refer to the Allies in WWII as 'our enemies.'

And the White Walkers... not a big presence yet eh, I bet they'll break the wall or go around it by episode 7. Great seeing the dragon in action though.

Eisenhower - supreme commader of teh allied forces in Europe: “Gott ich hasse die Deutschen.” (God, I hate the German people.") „Unser Hauptziel war die Vernichtung von so vielen Deutschen wie möglich.“ ("Our main objective was to annihilate as many Germans as possible.") „Deutschland wird nicht besetzt werden zum Zweck der Befreiung, sondern als besiegte Feindnation.“ (Germny is not occupied in order to liberate it, but as defeated enemy nation.") Never forget, never forgive.

Wow, this discussion took a turn for the evil. Hey, bluerisk, you think the Allies were your enemies?? Uhh, we weren't your enemies. We were your saviors. Got that? We saved you from the hell that was Nazism. When we conquered your little land did we go all Lannister on you? No. We gave you bread, freedom. I think we should have gone Cersei on you, but we weren't really your enemies, we were your people's saviors.

Great season so far. Every segment of Westeros is now as enjoyable and meaningful as the other, as we're heading nearer towards a conclusion. No more of eagerly wanting to fast forward the Dany parts.
They're once again spoiling us with these battle scenes, and we have one very big one to come, which will no doubt be made as epic as possible. I wonder if the Walkers will be battling past the Wall, as I can imagine it playing out like the battle at Helm's Deep in LOTR: TTT with a huge army approaching while the Night's Watch look down from the Wall.
I'm going to miss this show when it's over.

Never forget, never forgive. I wouldn't have made that joke had I realized you were German. My bad. Still odd that you're holding a grudge against Ike considering Germany's part in the war; but still, the joke was in poor taste all things considered.

I see hackers are after releasing the script for the next ep. www.bbc.com/news/technology-40860785 I'm sure every real GoT's fan is gonna ignore these leaks. Anyway, watched the first ep a few weeks ago and it was alright. Keeping an eye on the scores at IGN and theyre a bit mental, last ep got 10. Will try to watch the 3 eps in one go at the weekend.

I really don't see the point. Hell, I read the books before watching the show and I've read so much speculation over the years that I can't consider anything a spoiler, even though the show has progressed beyond the books at this point. As a general rule I try to avoid spoilers but Game of Thrones is in its own separate category.

I see hackers are after releasing the script for the next ep. If a hacker releases a script and nobody reads it, did they really hack? This is the dumbest story in history. So they are threatening to release GOT scripts. Oh, my God, how the hell can we combat that? What can we do? Uhh, not read it. I have a 147 IQ but I am sure even those with a 35 IQ can figure that one out. Seriously, what were these hackers thinking -- they are going to release the scripts? Wow, we are shaking in our boots. Like that Austin Powers movie asking for one million dollars.
