This seems to be the only other book in existence that addresses Project 100,000 and the 'Moron Corps'. Written by a Vietnam Vet who wasn't a 'moron', but because he looked funny, he got lumped in with them and got to see first hand why they should never have been in the war, and goes on to reveal the full extent of men serving in combat who should never have been drafted.
Has anybody read this one? If not, it's definitely one that everybody needs to.

What's also interesting is how people have known about this 'project' and the massive failure it was for over 50 years, but there are only 2 books written about it, both only in recent years, both by men who were there and saw it firsthand, no draft protesters, no college professors, etc. As massive as this problem was, the general public should've been made aware of it long before now. My mom was a teenager when Vietnam happened, her fiancee went into combat and came home with his arm blown off, she knows more about that time and what was going on than anybody I know, and even she never heard about Project 100,000.
