and they're talking about Chris Pine returning? Okay...although until the movie came out, I could have sworn reading somewhere that he had a multi-picture contract?

Chris Pine returning? I look forward to seeing how DC-Fan tries to twist this in the DCEU's favor now thathis "ultimate sacrifice" might not be so ultimate anymore.

This is one of the few times where I want the deceased in question to remain so. Unless they pull some nonsense and recast Pine as Trevor's identical nephew or something.

Being Steve Trevor back for a film set in the 80s wouldn't make much sense, given that it was pretty clearly implied that the last time Diana ever saw Steve was the moment right before his sacrifice.

not sure if I believe it, but if true.........I highly doubt they'll bring him back from the dead.
i'm thinking Diana might run into him if she visits the underworld.

Dumb-ass, do you not remember the Wonder Woman TV series? 1st season took place in World War II. Steve Trevor was played by Lyle Waggoner. 2nd and 3rd seasons took place in modern times (the 1970s). Steve Trevor, Jr. was played by Lyle Waggoner.

1st possibility - they do the same thing that the 1970s TV series did. 1st season took place in World War II. Steve Trevor was played by Lyle Waggoner. 2nd and 3rd seasons took place in modern times (the 1970s). Steve Trevor, Jr. was played by Lyle Waggoner.
2nd possibility - it's already been established that Greek Gods and Mt. Olympus existed in DCEU. That means the Elysian Fields and the Underworld also exists in DCEU. So Steve Trevor could be in the Elysian Fields or in the Underworld after his death.

I look forward to how you move the goalposts again.

If it takes place in the 80's, it doesn't make much sense that Steve Trevor would be there. Because of how the story itself was told in WW. It looks as though she has been missing him for many decades. If she had just ran into him in the 80's...it doesn't fit with what we know. Unless of course if they do what the TV show did and make him the great...great grandson or something like that. I kind of hope they don't do that. BUT that said...I would love to see them bring him back in some way.

Well, the other possibility besides making him a descendant of the original Steve Trevor (like the TV series did) is it's already been established that Greek Gods and Mt. Olympus existed in DCEU. That means the Elysian Fields and the Underworld also exists in DCEU. So Steve Trevor could be in the Elysian Fields or in the Underworld after his death. He would still be dead, but he would be in the Elysian Fields or in the Underworld.

I don't really buy the rumour but Pine returning makes perfect sense. It could be a flashback, a dream sequence (s) or perhaps an apparition- maybe since the war, Diana has been speaking to a figment of Steve when in a time of distress or when she feels she needs guidance. It'd actually be similar to how Pa Kent returned in BvS in that scene atop the mountain, it could easily work and act as a rather effective emotional focal point of the film. I think the rumour is bs, but Pine returning is certainly not out of the question.

What's that puddle that Ras Al Ghul has that DC always uses to bring back characters that they shouldn't have killed?

What's that puddle that Ras Al Ghul has that DC always uses to bring back characters that they shouldn't have killed? The Lazarus Pits which they can indeed finally use in this continuity.
