Hmm. I don't know. I'm sure he'll make a good movie, but it's a little disappointing. I wanted that 70's Blaxploitation flick he was supposed to do.
I wonder how much of this will be accurate or if he'll take some "artistic liberties" to make his style work a little bit better.

WOW. Could be excellent (just hoping QT doesn't insert himself in with a cameo , god he sucks as an actor lol)

Any ideas on who should play Manson? I think Leonardo DiCaprio or Michael Fassbender would be perfect for this role.

As long as it's historically accurate, unlike stupid Inglourious Basterds.

Even Gethin Anthony felt wrong for Manson although he grew on me as well. Actually I think Brad Pitt would have been perfect in his prime based on his look and performance in Kalifornia. With more make-up to make him uglier it would have been perfect.

I don't know how to feel about that one. Manson is pretty played out on film. Not to mention, the already strange admiration the guy gets is not gonna be helped being played by some A list movie star spouting Tarantino dialogue.
My ideal casting would be Steven Ogg, the guy who played Trevor in GTA V and Neegan's right hand in The Walking Dead. Slap a wig on him and he looks enough like Manson, plus he's well versed in playing loony psychopaths.

Walton Goggins has the unconventional looks and the acting chops to pull off Manson with Tarantino's dialogue.

It might be good but given it's based on real events that's likely going to put a limit on what he can do.
I am not expecting much from it but who knows, maybe he can surprise me. but i think if he does he's going to have to drift off from real life stuff.
@jakesully
He's not THAT bad as while he's not someone you would think of as a solid actor, he's passable in small roles.

I'd be interested if anyone else was directing.

I'm looking forward to this. I was disappointed with "The Hateful Eight" I'm a huge western fan, and up until the part where they reveal who poisoned the stew, it was nearly a 10/10. From that point on it was a 6/10 at best.

I'm not very comfortable at all with him directing this type of movie. Particularity if it is going to have the murder of Sharon Tate (who was I believe 7 months pregnant at the time) with Quentin Tarantino filming it (with the way he makes and films death scenes, I don't believe for 1 second at all that he will handle that part with any type of care or respect).
