how is everyone posting these beautiful photos? I remember someone saying when we started posting here that posting film clips and pictures was easy but I never learned how.

My attempts to post pictures just result in a small square that doesn't do anything. Anyone who can tell me what is wrong and how to correct it will be my New Very Best Friend. PM if you will. Maybe then I will also learn why it can't be posted publicly (which I will NOT do).
Thanks mucho in advance.

The image has to exist somewhere on the internet. This forum does not (as far as I can see) allow you to upload attachments and display them. The image file hosted elsewhere will have a URL, for example here is the url for some screen grabs for Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, illustrating the 2-color Technicolor look they were trying to suggest: watershade.net/public/sky-captain-sample.jpgTo embed the image in a posting so that everyone can see it without clicking, use the little image widget in the task bar, that looks like this: . Paste the URL into the text box provided by the widget. The result: Or you can accomplish the same thing manually with the IMG tag: [img src="http://watershade.net/public/sky-captain-sample.jpg"] ...which will give the same image. -Bill

marshamae 1. Find pic 2. Go to Imgur3. Click "New post" 4a. If your pic is on your hard drive, click "Browse" and upload it to Imgur 4b. If the pic is on the internet, paste the URL/address/location in the "Paste image or URL" box 5. Copy URL/address/location of pic. Make sure it ends in "jpg", "png", or similar extension 6. Come back to the forum and start a post as usual 7. In your post, click on the "Insert Image" icon at the top (between the envelope and the clapperboard) 8. Paste the pic URL in the box 9. And there you go i.imgur.com/7An1NhR.jpg
