Or at least it seems like it. We've already started with Ego in GotG2, and though he won't win best villain award he's still a huge step up from the common MCU villains (and IMO was better than any DCEU villains we've had so far). That was followed up with Vulture in Homecoming, and everyone agrees that he was spectacular. Then we have Hela coming up and from what we've seen in the trailers she looks like she's going to be awesome. After that it's Klaue (Klaw?) who's already been impressive in the limited screentime he had in AoU.
Finally there's Thanos. I don't know how the villains after Thanos will be (don't care to predict that far ahead). But I do know that starting this year and continuing for the next few movies, MCU looks like it's lined up to give us great (or at least good) villains.

And noticed how Ego and Vulture are very different villains too? The former is a complete space trash who committed multiple filicide while the latter is one of the least vile villains in MCU so far.

There's definitely potential. Zemo, Ego and Vulture are definitely a step in the right direction.
