I wonder what excuse the Academy will have this year to not award his performance?

Aah they will pull DDL and Oldman is left in the rain again.
To be fair, I'll need to wait for his movie trailer to come out but Oldman looks fantanstic as usual.

Oldman delivers one of the best, if not the best, performance I've seen so far for 2017. I doubt he will be out of the top 3 performances for a leading role we will see this year.
Yet, the movie is not for everybody. First you got to like history (despite some inaccuracies and peculiar angles on a few things). Second, the movie isn't loaded with action, it's centered on Churchill and the British parliament, so don't expect a lot of adrenaline and a fast pace.
The bottom line is despite its small flaws, the overall movie is one of the best that came out this year and it also features one of the top performance.
8/10

James Franco will get a nom, but not win because its too lite. DDL will get a nom, but not win a fourth (and if he does even I will suck his #$%^%&@). Oldman is due. OVERdue.

Since the film doesn't span 1942, it naturally won't show Churchill unfairly fucking over one of Britain's best commanders, Sir Claude Auchinleck.
But does it show Churchill fucking over the French in 1940? (He absolutely did, you know.)
