Rules: You may guess only once per pic, per post. You may guess one, all or any number. After you posted please wait for three other posters or 24-hours (whichever is first). You MAY CHEAT and use Google Images, TinEye or some other photo identifying website or software, etc... IF you get a pic correct please tell how you found it. Good luck!!

Just a humble question, wouldn't it be easier if each pic had a number or something, to know what pic each and everyone has identified...

12: The High And the Mighty (1954) - That's Paul Kelly clutching the briefcase.

27: Chinatown (1974) - You've played a bit of a trick here by zooming in on one very small portion of the frame: it's from the first shot we see of the house at 1972 Canyon Drive to which Jake follows Evelyn, where Katherine is staying.

I'm guessing you know and thus did not need to cheat and use Google Images or Tineye?

I'm guessing you know and thus did not need to cheat and use Google Images or Tineye?Whoops! I interpreted it to mean wait 24 hours per image. Sorry if my inference was incorrect. No, the Chinatown image just suddenly clicked. It's a tossup as to which I've done more: seen the film or driven past the house (I used to have friends who lived up there). I also have an interest in certain types of residential architecture, among which is the Craftsman Bungalow form of which it's such a nice example. That same house turned up in 1999's Blast From the Past.
Here's more useless trivia: for the sake of the shot, both Evelyn and Jake approach the house from the north. In reality, driving from Pasadena, they'd have had to come over surface streets that lead to it from the south.

I'm wondering IF this is TOO HARD for most as so far you're the only one to give guesses. It's much harder than this game...Name the Movie: Screenshot Edition.

They are indeed toughies (at least to me). I suspect some similar image-zooming has been done on #28 with the water cooler, although there's every possibility I'd be equally stumped with the full frame grab. Still, I enjoy looking and wondering.

If you see an actor's or actress' face it makes it TOO EASY. That's why that other game IS...TOO EASY!

Pic no 3, taking a long shot but I say Stagecoach 1939. No, I've never seen that. I'll give you three clues and they are...1) It's NOT a Western. 2) It's from the early or mid sixties. 3) British.

No, haven't seen it. It's a British sci-fi film (although NOT very sci-fi) from the 70s.
