While it certainly is not a flop, the 61 percent second weekend drop is certainly worrisome. It is the first MCU movie to have a drop over 60 percent since Captain America: The First Avenger, and only the 3rd time in the series.

It's up against some pretty stiff and hyped competition, and plus this is the 2nd Spidey Reboot in ten years.

Fox and Sony wish they could make films like the MCU... Ignoring the OP and his stupidity, I think Fox is doing just fine. They are coming off of Logan and Deadpool, not to mention all their good to great X-Men films over the years.

Well, keep in mind that Deadpool came out despite Fox wanting to bury it and Logan got an easy treatment because it was Jackman's Swan Song more than anything else. Stuff like that isn't going to last. And the X-Movies really worked due to them not having real competition.

"Stuff like that isn't going to last"? Logan is in the Top 250, unlike MCU films. And it is the best reviewed CBM so far (by statistically adjusted score, not by futile comparision).
So better stop it, your simplistic alternative facts and wishful thinking only make you seem obtuse...

Go back to listening to Limp Bizkit wormhole, I figure that you'd prefer to listen to them over the likes of The Beetles and Rolling Stones because of the amount of curse words they use( hence "mature"...)

And Logan had artificial boosters from being Jackman's Swan Song that landed it there, not from the actual content of the movie. That's pretty obvious. It's like the real reason for Heath Ledger getting the Oscar in Dark Knight. It wasn't because of the movie itself.

Sorry but people in real life do not get distracted by this - works only with silly baddies in colorful Disney movies sporting funny-talking gun-raccoons. That being said, I view it as a testament as to the inherent quality of TDK and Logan that the only criticism you can muster is diffuse, fallacious speculation.
What is pretty undeniable though is that all maistream CBMs are critically overrated compared to a few decades ago when they were viewed as juvenile B-Movie fluff (the rating change was partially caused by the chance of finance/advertising streams in media since the advent of the internet). Just compare the ratings of the genre-defining Superman I classic to modern CBM films, it's sad actually.
Realistically, the serious CBMs, like Logan or TDK, should be around 7 to 7.5, whereas all the silllier entries like MCU and DCEU movies should range around 3-6 tops. The latter are good films only for people not ashamed of comic books, i.e., children.

Your new avatar becomes you, but I would have rather suggested something like furious EmoRen smashing things like an 8 year old, or the gun-racoon dreaming of putting squishy turds into someone's bed for revenge...that would be so much more you.

Logan may have had some leeway going in, but that movie deserved every single one of those good reviews and more. It was as close as any comic book movie has gotten to The Dark Knight. It's a great movie on every level.

But I also get why lots of people really, really dig it.

It's like the real reason for Heath Ledger getting the Oscar in Dark Knight. It wasn't because of the movie itself. I assume you mean it was because he croaked and the non croaked were feeling sorry for him. What a way to get an Oscar!
