Sad to hear that both George and Martin Landau are gone. Romero was a game changer, no question about that. I have yet to seen some of his films, and now might be the time to start doing something about it, as Martin (1978) has been lying in my movie collection for years now, and I am ashamed to say so, but I have still not seen it. Day of the Dead (1985), Knightriders (1981), Monkey Shines (1988) and The Dark Half (1993) stands as my favorites. RIP

A talented filmmaker who truly became an icon in the genre. "Night of the Living Dead"remains a remarkable film nearly 50 years after it was made. Rest in peace, Mr. Romero.

He was and will always be a legend. NOTLD is still my favorite horror movie of all time. Without his contributions to cinema, I dread what we'd be watching now instead.

I won a book on a radio trivia contest by knowing that Romero made NOTLD. I still have the book bit have not read it "yet". Oddly enough, it was a biography of Marilyn Monroe. The connection ? Anyway. Thanks. Mr. Romero.

Wow. It's strange how just a few of days ago, I was discussing on this website how I was not a big Zombie genre fan, and that I mostly just watch Romero's zombie films.. imdb2.freeforums.net/post/664884/threadIt seems that Romero was prepping a seventh movie, " Road of the Dead", with Matt Birman serving as director... I wonder if the film will still be made and dedicated to him. I hope Romero rests-in-peace. (It would be strange if he came back as a Zombie.)

RIP. Night of the Living Dead is one of my favorite movies. From August - early November (trying to ween myself slowly off Halloween flicks) - I get it going multiple times. Arguably the greatest zombie movie ever (Dawn of the Dead 2004 can be discussed but we won't got there with this sad news)

I have yet to seen some of his films, and now might be the time to start doing something about it Me too. Still haven't seen The Crazies and Bruiser. But I think that Martin is my favorite movie of him. R.I.P.

I've been remembering George Romero all this week - read some fantastic, moving tributes online. He meant so much to so many. I'll miss him.
