If Stark and Rogers die, who should lead the Avengers?

The way I see it:

Vision - great analytical skills, is worthy enough to lift mjolnir, unquestionable logic... but he can be a bit too cold and calculating. He's the kind of person who will kill a whole lot of people if it means the greater good. Not sure you'd want this as a leader for the Avengers.

Black Widow - somewhat similar to Vision. She'll do what needs to be done, whatever it is that needs to be done. She has no scruples. And she has a bit too much red in her ledger for other leaders to respect her morality. She's a great asset to the team, but probably not the best fit for a leader.

Hawkeye - has the benefit of being a respected SHIELD agent, a top end agent, which means he'll be used to giving orders and following them, plus will have a lot of battlefield experience. Problem is, Clint seems a bit too lax, like he's not the kind of guy who'd take being a leader too seriously. Plus he's been trying to get out of the gig for some time now.

Dr. Strange / Scarlet Witch / Spiderman / Ant-man - All of whom are too new to this superhero gig. Too green. They've only been in a few fights since they became superheroes and are probably not the best candidates for leader.

Winter Soldier - has far too much emotional and psychological baggage.

Bruce Banner - would make a great adviser but a horrible leader in the middle of a battle. No way he can give around orders while Hulked-out.

Falcon / Warmachine - both are actually very good candidates. Both have a good amount of battlefield experience, both have experience working with troupes, both are dedicated to what they do and are morally upright. The problem is that both are ultimately sidekicks, and I feel like the rest of the Avengers will have trouble respecting their authority. Do you really see them ordering the rest of the heroes around? I feel like the team would follow Black Widow more over these two.



So.... that leaves us with two candidates: Black Panther and Thor. Both have been born into royalty and have been trained since birth in a leadership role. Both are easily able to assert authority when needed. Both are credible warriors. Both have enough financial backing to fund the Avengers if needed.

Black Panther has the edge in being calmer and a better tactician. Problem is he's not a team player and, as far as we can tell, seems predisposed to vigilanteism.

Thor has the advantage of being the oldest among them and thus has the most battle experience. He's also led more warriors into battle whereas BP seems more a lone wolf. There's also the fact that he's powerful enough and physically imposing enough that he can keep the other Avengers in check if need be. Plus he's worthy to lift Mjolnir. The problem is that Thor isn't exactly the smartest when it comes to Earth, and he's definitely not the tactician that Panther is. But I'd still pick him as a leader, because the leader can always take advice from others regarding tactics but a leader must above all else have unquestionable integrity. And I just think Thor is more morally upright and noble, especially after having learned humility, than T'Challa.
