Looks good...Why is there a thread here on the MCU board? You going to lead into an argument that DC is better because there are biopics on their creators?

You keep telling yourself that, but Wonder Woman isn't going to get a nomination 1st, I don't have to tell myself that because there have been several websites that have mentioned Wonder Woman as a potential Oscar nominee for Best Picture. 2nd, I didn't write anything negative about MCU in this thread, but you're still complaining about this thread. So it seems that the thought of Wonder Woman getting a Best Picture Oscar nomination really bothers you a lot. But I'll put your mind at ease. Honestly, I think that Wonder Woman's chances of getting a Best Picture Oscar nomination are as slim as Donald Trump's chances of winning the Presidency when he announced he was running for POTUS in June 2015. So with such incredible odds, you won't have to worry. Oh wait...I shouldn't have use that example. Now you'll just be more worried.

Dude, the fact that you're on the MCU boards proves you're trying to instigate usual bullshit. And hey, I'm more than willing to retract what I said if it gets nominated because I would like to see the Oscars start looking at all genres of films, but the Oscars are a joke and always will be. You want to keep telling yourself it'll win, go ahead of that makes you feel better, but it doesn't make the DCEU better or the MCU worse

You want to keep telling yourself it'll win Like I've said many times before, I never said Wonder Woman would win the Best Picture Oscar. On the contrary, I've said many times that it probably won't win the Best Picture Oscar because the Academy isn't ready yet to award the Best Picture Oscar to a CBM.
But a nomination is a different story. It's a longshot and it would take a perfect storm for that to happen, but we seem to be getting a "perfect storm" for Wonder Woman, considering that:
1. After The Dark Knight was snubbed for an Oscar nomination in the 2008 award year, the Academy increased the maximum number of Best Picture nominees to 10 starting with the 2009 award year. If there were still only 5 nominees, then obviously Wonder Woman and all other CBMs have no chance at a Best Picture nomination. But with a maximum of 10 nominees, there's a chance because:
2. While the Academy nominated 10 movies for Best Picture in the 2009 and 2010 award years, it has nominated only 8 or 9 movies in every award year since then. That means there have only been 8 or 9 movies that the Academy has felt is Oscar-worthy in the past 6 award years. So if the Academy nominates only 8 or 9 movies this year, that still leaves them a spot to nominate Wonder Woman without having to remove another worthy picture.
3. The Golden Globes last year nominated a CBM for Best Picture for the 1st time ever (Deadpool, although that was for a comedy category) so the Academy may be ready this year to nominate a CBM for Best Picture for the 1st time ever.
4. Wonder Woman has received the most press coverage and has been the most talked-about movie this summer. And with Professor Marston & the Wonder Woman being released in October, Wonder Woman will inevitably receive even more press coverage in the Fall.
5. The Academy has been criticized a lot in recent years for the lack of diversity in their nominations. Wonder Woman gives the Academy a great opportunity to be more inclusive with their nominations and silence some of those complaints.

Repeating the same bullshit without any actual context just makes you come off as a dumb troll

You going to lead into an argument that DC is better because there are biopics on their creators? I don't write posts to start arguments. I write posts to inform people about things they may not be aware of. That's a good one, you should submit jokes for The Simpsons it might make their next season as good as its golden era.
