I love salsa. I'm actually curious now about how that would taste on different kinds of pasta and sausages.

Jaymansalsa wasn't good with the hot sausages. But it was homemade so that may have some effect. I want to try making a pizza with salsa as the sauce. Found a how-to with chicken so it's not that crazy an idea. Have had some "Mexican Pizza" from the store so probably similar. Thing is, I buy jars of salsa, run out of corn chips and it gets a bit "iffy" so using it up seems prudent. PLUS it gets heated !

The pizza with salsa sound great. I would definitely try that. Well, I'd try just about any kind of pizza but that's an intriguing combination. Chicken also. Corn chips with salsa is a tough habit to break. I used to do that and it's so addicting I could keep on going non stop with that.

As I have made many pizzas, yes from scratch, the problem with any topping is the water. Water is a pizza's nemesis. Salsa is very watery. Wet toppings steam and make for a gummy pizza. That is one reason you want a very hot oven ---home ovens only reach 550º F and use an unglazed pizza stone to aid in evaporation.
