I really enjoyed it. Didn't think it deserved all those nominations but since THE DISASTER ARTIST didn't win, I am glad it was Jordan Peele.

I thought it was okay, not really great, but not bad either. I wrote a thread (I think it's somewhere down below) detailing my criticisms, but I don't think anyone ever commented on it.
My thoughts (with mild spoilers):
1. I felt that the lead actor was too meek. I liked his "sunken place" facial expressions, but I wanted to see someone more dynamic.
2. I thought the father and the best friend were in a different movie than everyone else.. All their lines felt improvised, and their acting styles just didnt blend well with the others.
3. I liked the lead girl up until the last quarter of the film. She sort of disappears after a while.
4. The killings were poorly done. For one thing, they all happen too fast. I would have been fine had there been no killings. I would have been fine with blunt-force trauma killings, but the way the mother dies, offscreen with only the sound indicating the kill, is inexcusable.
5. I like the Omen-inspired score.
Overall it's fine, but I see a better film in there than what we got.

I really liked it. Great horror-comedy that is also a satire.

I really liked this movie. Funny thing, when I first saw the trailer I had reservations about seeing it since I typically don't really like horror/comedy but I was in the mood to go to the movies and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it.

I thought it worked well as a racial and horror satire, but its been overpraised 6/10

It's a solid thriller/comedy but IMO was too derivative (Skeleton Key and Stepford Wives for starters) to deserve all the worship it was given. I think it's hilarious that most white liberals totally missed that it was satirizing them. It does make me interested to see what Peele will do next though.

Great film.
The mum was wonderfully understated creepy.
The airport guy was an awful black stereotype.

Didn’t think it was an innovative as people insisted it was. Most of the ‘edginess’ was all surface value stuff. But not bad. I just don’t think it was particularly award worthy.
