The LA frontman of band Linkin Park has been found dead, he passed away at 41 of apparent suicide, pretty tragic news, Linkin Parks music has been influential, inspirational and so many other things for people around my age (early/mid 20s) and so many other people that grew up listening to them.
Dude was also super talented, RIP Chester.

i loved their first album hybrid theory when it came out i was like 13. but since then i couldn't stand them, their music sounded so generic and radio frendly.

Hybrid Theory was great and I liked a few songs from Meteora. I hated Minutes to Midnight at the time, especially What I've Done, but I've come to like that song ironically over the years.
For some reason, in China Minutes to Midnight branded tshirts are everywhere.

He was close to Chris, and yesterday would have been his birthday. On Thursday, Cornell's widow, Vicky Cornell, tweeted: "Just when I thought my heart couldn't break any more.....I love you."

It was my favorite band honestly, just because I grew up with them and a few others, but I realized how big of douches some of the bands I liked (Fred Durst, Im lookin at you)
I loved HT/Meteora/MtM/Living Things/THP
Not big on ATS or OML, even though now....listening to the song one more light has a lot more meaning now. (It was sort of written it seems for Chris).
It's sad man, I didnt like ATS but they did LT and THP.
Wasnt big on OML, I thought it's okay, theyll come back. Now.....idk. Im sure they got unreleased material, hell I even listened to all their LPU stuff, Qwerty, Standin in the Middle, Step Up, My December, Across the Line, Pretending to be, She Couldnt, Blue and Slip, So Far Away among many others. Even their instrumental stuff, hell even the stuff they did when they were Xero and Hybrid Theory and Mark (Wakefield) was in the band.
Hell I even heard Chesters Grey Daze/Dead By Sunrise and his brief Stone Temple Pilots stuff.
It's sad all around, I get it wasnt for everyone, but Chester had an amazing talent. It seems like the talented musicians die young, huh?
Im glad at the least, people respect the talent the man had. Sadly, the guy couldnt fight his demons. :/
