Those are franchise brand name tentpole films. I thought we were talking about one shot dramas etc. Zodiac etc. I guess he cant really go back to that at his age anyway. He would become the "older mentor" or character actor at this stage. He tried that with "The Judge", he just seems happier doing his franchise stuff. Just a head's up, Sam, you're talking to a complete lunatic who thinks Wonder Woman was made to make Hillary Clinton look good. Somehow.

Vulture is not a major character in the MCU. That's why. He's also suppose to be an old character except when the story has him de-aging.

No, not that.
RDJ's career is fine, he can take on any other roll he wants, and why the hell would he view being associated as playing Iron Man as a bad thing?
None of those points meant much of anything. There has definitely not been a diminishing return as his character has only grown, and he can keep playing it as long as he wants.
I see, the artistic-career-decision notion goes well above your head and intellectual paygrade. I will put it in simpler terms: To quote Lego Batman's immortal words: "Ironman sucks".

He's doing fine as Iron Man so far but eventually he has to consider when to step away and choose the best time cause he can't play the role forever. Can you picture bringing back Sean Connery to play James Bond?

Even if he stops playing Iron Man he could still be in the movies. Why couldn't he take over Nick Fury's role as director or Shield if they reformed Shield or something like that?

That could mean a decade from now. And also you're missing the point which is that fans tend to act like these people always want to quit after a few films.

Actually, I could see Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark as the new head of S.H.I.E.L.D. He even looks like the classic comic book depiction of Nick Fury.
But the real answer I want to know is, will David Hasselhoff ever get to reprise the role of Nick Fury on the big screen?

After all, if you were right, he wouldn't have just been in Homecoming.

Learn to read. He's also signed on for more movies repeatedly you name calling person you. Daniel Craig said he was quitting and whoooops, he's bond again. Geeez, imagine that.
