Wake up room"
Mention movies that took place as a whole, part of the plot, song and dance number, secret codes were exchanged, or whatever, I also include those old british piers like Brighton, and those created in a studio, and those who ttaveled around any country or fairs. Old and new movies, in an amuement park

This delightful Thelma Todd short purports to be situated on Coney Island but it was actually filmed at an old LA amusement park.

I think that Strangers On A Train and Gorilla At Large qualify.
Then there's The Lady From Shanghai.
If you can include carnivals and small circuses,--arcades?, things like the Santa Monica Pier--a surprising number of films with dark themes take place in them.

The Pike Amusement Zone, Long Beach, California only has a few listings on IMDb as a filing location, but it has been used for years in May fils and TV shows. It was often used as a substitute for Coney Island because of the Cyclone Racer Roller Coaster. Also of note was the twin Ferris Wheel, which was featured in the Jack Lemmon film "Luv" (1967).
It was torn down about 1980.

American Experience <--Documentary about old Coney Island Some of the rides they show at Steeplechase Park were still there in my "yute". Luna Park had burned down by then though. The Ferris Wheel and the Parachute jump had been brought to Coney Island after the 1939 World's Fair. I never did get up the nerve to do the jump but the wheel was awesome. The cars slid down (seemingly into space) on ramps as the wheel rotated.
