snsurone , as Bat noted, “Ms. EQ” is still very much alive, well, and actively posting; it’s PKLarkins who passed. Sorry about that, Sal. From what I read in other posts, I thought they were one and the same. BTW, I have BATouttacheck blocked, so I don't see his own vitriol, LOL.

so I don't see his own vitriol, Vitriol = Posting replies with links which answer my questions rather than spoon feeding me the obvious. Troll = someone who posts vitriolically .

Besides my mention, has anyone discussed the infamous Anjune of the thousand names? I see a similar name on this thread, would that be the same person?

Wasn't Anjune notorious for habitually starting threads (often of a controversial nature) and then deleting the original posts ? Have not noticed anyone doing that around the new boards... thank heavens

I wonder if the British poster called Spikeopath used to post on classic cinema board on old IMDB. I liked reading his posts on western cinema boards and sports board. www.imdb.com/user/ur16161013/Yes he surely did … I mentioned him earlier as one of the posters I most miss. Nice fella ! THANKS for that link... never thought about the Olde IMDb Crowd maybe still posting reviews on IMDb! D'OH ! Just got this email -

Mike, there's a poster on the "Food & Drink" board, who has a similar name, but I haven't detected anything that would lead me to believe he/she is anything other than an interested poster, who adds to the group. With Anjune, other posters were far more perceptive, than I, at picking out all of his/her various guises/"socks." I sometimes wondered if an occasional new-comer to the boards might have posted, in earnest, only to be called-out as Anjune, by mistake. Good to see you back!

Over and over and over again.

Can you imagine if it's the same Anjune on the "F&D" board? Oh boy!
It wasn't easy at first, but his style of writing and penchant for recycling eventually gave him away, so he kept re-inventing himself. A lot of posters didn't know it was him and were very angry to find out that they'd spent a considerable amount of time responding on one of this threads only to have it deleted. Oh, the arguments we would have with him!
I believe the occasional newcomer was called out a few times. Anjune-paranoia was rampant at the time!
Glad to be back, and good to see you!

How about that poster (usually posted on the I Need To Know and Film General boards) who always kept changing his username and when someone famous died changed his name to the Ghost of or Spirit of... that recently deceased celebrity's name?

There was a frequent poster on the old GWTW board who went by the handle of photo66666. His posts would usually disrupt the flow of a thread with some "tidbit" of historical hodgepodge that may or may not be accurate, but had nothing to do with the thread. He was a real PITA who PO'd many posters (pretty good alliteration, eh? LOL).
I don't know what became of him. Maybe he's still posting somewhere under a new handle.

Come on, I know I'm NOT the only one thinking this and laughing at her post !

Sorry to report that O'Sullivan (or Mike) passed away from cancer in early January 2017. (EDIT - actually 2018 apols)
He wrote some great "appreciations" of Kay Kendall, Anouk Aimee, Monica Vitti etc and was very knowledgeable on European and 50s and 60s cinema. His favourite movie was BLOW UP and the first film he ever saw was JOHNNY GUITAR. He had also spent a lot of time at NFT in 70s seeing Bogarde, Bergman etc in Q&As and sat next to Lee Remick once, and had an endless repertoire of entertaining anecdotes about the stars he had seen up close and met (Him standing at a urinal at the NFT next to Peter Wyngarde - wearing a corduroy suit - shortly after Wyngarde's "cottaging" arrest, being a particular favourite !)
After hitting it off on a John Schlesinger thread I started on imdb1 circa 2007, we agreed to meet up for a pint in central London. He and I met up thereafter regularly every 3-4 months or so for drinks, gossip about imdb (Who Addison had on ignore?, What exactly was Mrs EQ smoking??, and Who was classic board's current biggest resident troll???) and film and book swaps/exchanges. We both liked a lot of same films so saved time and money by swapping and copying.
He was a lovely man and I miss him a lot. He exceeded the prognosis given him by a few months and did live long enough to get married to his long term partner so that was good. I was a witness at that - the last time I saw him.
His blog is still live though and is a joy and so here is link if anyone else missing him!

I remember a crazy poster on imdb named Pinochet. That wasn't his full screen name but I forgot what the rest of it was. He'd (She'd) post some really crazy off the wall stuff and they were typically within various classic film boards of movies that I liked. I basically never responded to him but the stuff was just so crazy it would make me laugh. I wonder if he was related to the Chilean dictator...?

Boomer and I exchange emails every now and then, she's doing well. Not sure where cschultz landed, he was good too! I remember O'Sullivan and am sorry to hear of his passing. He, too, was one of the good guys and he'll always be remembered.
