I think so. I own this album which features the late, great, Ronnie James Dio on vocals:

Yes. Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules with Dio, Born Again with Ian Gillan and Headless Cross with Tony Martin are really good imo.

The Dio stuff is great, and There's some really good stuff with Tony Martin on Vocals as well that gets overlooked.

Funny thing about that album:
When I worked music retail, a customer was going to buy that CD. Before he did, he asked me if I knew who sings on the album.
At the time, I said I wasn't sure. I knew it wasn't Ozzy.
He then said, "As long as it's not Ozzy." I then replied, "I know for sure it is NOT Ozzy."
His response was, "Good. I don't like Ozzy."

This song is awesome. Tony Martin style Ray Gillen sang it better on the recently released demo.

But I do really like Tony Martin and the stuff he did in Sabbath. The Eternal Idol and TYR album I think is really good stuff.

The only time I've seen Black Sabbath live was with Tony Martin on vocals. I wasn't into Black Sabbath at the time being more prog than heavy but I enjoyed the gig. I thought he handled the classics well and he won over a tough crowd steeped in Ozzy and Dio and crazy rumours of Geezer Butler making an appearance.
Near the end of the gig as the band was waving it's goodbyes, we caught our mate giving a thumbs-up as if wishing good luck to a dear departed friend and so I asked what he was doing. He replied that Tony Martin had just waved and winked at him and he was acknowledging this with a thumbs-up back. My other mate and I burst out laughing because he was adamant that Tony Martin looked directly at him and no one else, so that week we took the piss out of him by asking daft questions like if Tony had called lately or how Black Sabbath in general was doing, and him accusing us of just being jealous.
So I have fond memories of this gig and it made me listen to Sabbath more which is a plus.

At the time, I just wasn't going to listen to Sabbath without Ozzy whether it be Dio or whoever. They had some success with Martin on vocals but not so much in the states. But I got into the non ozzy sabbath years later. Listening to the bootlegs and the live cross purposes album Martin does great on the dio era stuff because that's more suited to his style.

Still worth listening to? Sure but I can't see Black without Ozzie at all.

I think the stuff they did with Dio is great. Heaven & Hell and Mob Rules are solid albums. I haven't heard any of the Tony Martin stuff yet.

For the longest time I would't even give the Dio stuff a chance because I felt it wasn't really Sabbath. But if you think of it all as separate bands which they were supposed to be originally, there's a ton of great non ozzy stuff.

Most definitely! Especially the Dio and Tony Martin eras.
