I've seen some rumors that Nolan may want to work on a Bond film. Part of me doesn't want to see him get involved with the franchise because a) I don't really care for it and b) I rather see him focus on making new movies. However, I look at his Batman trilogy and he truly did an amazing job with that franchise. He took a well known character and concept and crafted something new. In my opinion, no one has come close to making as good as a superhero film as him. So because of that another part of me is curious to see what he does with James Bond if he's truly passionate about telling a version of the story.

Yea I'm feeling the same. If his heart isn't in it, I'd rather he not sign up for one.

I'm sure he could make a good Bond film, but I agree. I hope he keeps doing original work.

I want Bond movies to be shorter than they already are.

Why, so can he take all the fun out of that, too?

On one hand, I think it'd be good. I mean, I don't care for 2/3rds of the Nolan/Bale trilogy, though the first one was awesome and I like some of his other movies. I think he'd do it justice, if he was truly wanting to be part of it. Even if he didn't direct, just produced and had his 'team' working behind the scenes. On the other hand, I don't think what he tends to bring to the table is what BOND needs right now, as I think part of the newer BOND movies' problems come from the lack of any humour and how Craig never seems to enjoy being there-- and I don't mean in scenes where he's fighting or having just killed someone but like in casino scenes or whatnot. In his first BOND outing, he seemed to be enjoying himself during some of his scenes with Vesper (Eva Green), in M's office near the beginning, and when verbally sparring with Le Shiffre (Mads Mikkelson), but in later movies he just seemed to be 'just there' for most of the film. They don't have to be a chuckle a minute, but I think they've gotten entirely too weighed down and they've lost all sense of FUN. Even the Timothy Dalton ones had more humour, and they were considered pretty gritty and dark at the time, having gone from Roger Moore's BOND to Dalton's somewhat closer-to-the-novels version.

Nolan would want full creative control - Bond is tightly controlled by the producers. That's why hacks like Neal Purvis and Robert Wade are hired again and again - they do what they're told.

Nolan doesn't need to be anywhere close to the Bond franchise, I want it to be fun again.

I don't know if Nolan would work with an established Bond in the current Bond universe. I think he tends to create his own version of things

Supposedly, The Front Runner to Direct the Next (and Daniel Craig's Final) "JAMES BOND" Movie is Danny Boyle.

I'm onboard. He clearly loves Bond (there are obvious homages in both Inception and TDK trilogy) and he's a great filmmaker. Some of his best original films were made in between TDK trilogy, so it's not like he's gonna stop making them if he does a Bond.

Personally I think the James Bond series is EASILY ahead of the Super Hero type of movies as there is eight James Bond movies I score a 6-6.5/10 or higher where as there is only one Super Hero movie I score a 6-6.5/10 or higher (Man of Steel (2013)(6-6.5/10 ; within my Top 235 movies)). so since Sam Mendes (Skyfall(My #1 Bond movie)/Spectre(My #4 Bond movie)) is not coming back for another Bond movie... I would not object to Nolan because the general James Bond world can be quite interesting when done right. so with Nolan being a name director I would have to assume it would be difficult for someone of his caliber to mess it up. so I would kind of assume if he directed one it would be at least a 7/10 which if that happened it would be within my Top 187 movies at the least. p.s. I like 14 out of the 25 James Bond movies. off the top of my head, there is about nine super hero movies I like. NOTE: come to think of it... I may re-watch The Dark Knight trilogy here soon as it's been a while as I have not seen Batman Begins since Nov 18th 2012. The Dark Knight since Apr 4th 2014 and The Dark Knight Rises since May 30th 2013(which is my 2nd viewing of the third movie). anthonyrocksI would rather see Nolan do it between the two if given the choice. but then again, like I pretty much said above, unless a director is pretty average etc, it's pretty difficult to mess up a Bond movie to the point I won't at least mildly like it. although the quality Bond movies tend to have better than average directors.
