Had its flaws but overall moving the story along nicely.
I think the Missandei/Grey Worm scene went on for a little too long. Like uncomfortably long.
I kinda thought we were over the Theon is a coward plot too. I wouldve been ok if he or his sister just died in this episode. Im sure itll lead to a later moment of courage on his part...but its not a development the show needed at this point.
So happy some of those snakes got it and the Dread Pirate Euron was great. My immediate thoughts went to poison but since they show him parading in the streets in the next episode i guess the sand snakes forgot.
Dany is acting like kind of a c-nt too. I can see her getting a little ahead of herself and if she doesnt stow that sh-t im gonna be rooting against her, even if she does have tyrion and varys on her side.
Liked the Arya stuff...good to see Hot Pie again and the Nymeria reunion, even tho it wasn't all gushy, was probably perfect for where the two are at right now. Arya isn't going to Winterfell.

Good episode. Totally disagree with you about Dany...no way in hell is she getting ahead of herself. In fact if you ask me, she's being too cautious. But I want to see her destroy Cersei.
Loved the Nymeria reunion. That was sweet.
Also...Jon and Lord Baelish...glad Jon put him in his place. I really wished he'd just go ahead and kill him.

This episode is the reason the show frustrates me.
The show is better than the story at this point imo. The parts are better than the whole.
Their plan is to save lives by having a split front rather than simply setting the Red Keep on fire?
They knew Euron was out there with an armada of his own and yet they decide to sail to Dorne (I assume it wasn;t the whole armada, but not sure) when they could have just piggybacked with Olenna's crew.
To me it seems they almost need the books to provide the structure.
And yet I still love it since the show is done so well and the dialogue is so strong. That war council on Dragonstone was pretty cool.
I wish we could have learned that Arya was a warg though.
I wasn't entirely certain about the ending, but is that Yara hanging from the ship or is she a prisoner?

I think it was both the sand snakes at the front of the ship. Obara was speared to the post and the other pretty one was hanging by her whip.

I meant getting ahead of herself in the sense of bullying around the people with her and close on threatening potential allies. The whole 'invite him here to bend the knee' line just reeked of her letting the power get to her head as if shes counting her eggs before they hatch. But we'll see next ep since it looks like jon will meet with her.

They are calling him King of The North...and then she adds that. I think she may be waiting a bit for him to "bend the knee". I hope he bends the knee for no one.

Olenna is not helping anything at all by telling her to do her own thing...woman power and all that. She needs the guidance of her counsel and Olenna is flat out telling her to ignore them. Bad move all around. I doubt Jon will bend the knee. He's a single king, she's a single queen, come on! A little thing like DNA never got in the way, did it Cersei/Jaime??? Arya is actually the most boring atm tbh. Not surprised at the Euron stuff, this is what he will bring Cersei to show his loyalty. Fuck him and the ship he sailed in on. I was liking where that was going!

Loved everything. Solid second episode. My two complaints: that cringe worthy "mama" sandsnake dialogue and that sex scene. Other than that, I loved every second. That naval battle was visually stunning, and had amazing cinematography. Plus, Euron is just awesome.

- Killing the Sand Snakes, or 2/3 of them at least, was fan service -- no one liked them and they were superfluous. I also agree with the posts above, Obara was impaled on Silence's figurehead while Nymeria was hanging by her whip. Neither Asha/Yara nor Tyene is dead, at least as far as we've seen.
- Agreed on too much time spent on the weird eunuch sex scene. So Greyworm eats her out...we could've figured that out for ourselves. On the plus side, Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) is fucking gorgeous and I'm glad we got to see her in her full glory again.
- I thought Euron's gift to Cersei was going to be Tyrion, but I suppose Ellaria Sand works almost as well, without killing off perhaps the most beloved character on the show. The writers killed two birds with one stone by allowing Cersei some more revenge while clearing some tepid characters off the table. I'm sure she's still got that Septa deep in the Red Keep's bowels, brightening up her days by popping in to perform a bit of torture while shouting, "Confess! Confess!"
- I hope Jon hears Daenerys issue her bitchy demand and laughs at her. Either that or they marry. But he sure as shit shouldn't bend the knee to her. First, because no one is in any condition to take the North, least of all Daenerys whose entire host is comprised of armies from the warmest parts of the world. And second because Jon isn't king out of a desire for power, he's taken it on as a burden to stop the White Walkers.
- Leaving Baelish alive and in Winterfell was a total Ned Stark move. Jon should've just killed him right then and there, the slippery fuck. Pass the stewardship of the Vale to Lord Royce, who is easy to control, loyal, and not a conniving twatbeard.
- And finally, Sam's greyscale cure...RIP Sam. The show didn't tell us the story of the unfortunate maester who invented the cure for no reason. Sam found the dragon glass stash in Dragonstone and told Jon about it, and now he'll heal Ser Jorah so Jorah can get back to the Friend Zone. But then he's outlived his purpose, hasn't he? He'll get grayscale, and this time none of the maesters at the Citadel will be willing to do for him what he did for Jorah Mormont.

I feel fairly confident after that line that Dany is on her way to Mad Queen. I've always thought she was horrid, but wasn't sure before if it was intentional. I liked the episode up until Theon jumped ship. That felt out of character with his development since season 5.

Agree about Theon. I thought we were past that with him. Feels like rehashing old character elements instead of exploring new ones.

Yeah, and funnily enough the one that showed her boobs, which has so far been the best part of any scene with the Sand Snakes, got to live. At least for now.

All of the mutilation and maniacal slaughter happening around him would definitely trigger that. It makes sense he'd fly over fight. Anyway, if he gave into Euron egging him on there, he and Yara would both probably get killed. Without that push, Euron is just as likely to spare her. And there is no way he could take his uncle on.

All our other sadistic torturers have perished. She stole all his ships and now he's ruined her. Or to give her to Cersei along with Ellaria and Tyene to make a public example out of her and a show of strength in the capitol. Cersei would def prefer that privilege, so that would be in his favor to win her favor.
