You're not going to find a bigger film than Infinity War. I don't think every Marvel film is perfect and probably will even skip a few if I ever do like a marathon, but regardless, they've been building up to Infinity War and with every release of a new film, they could have easily derailed the franchise, but they've always been consistence and are well-liked, and as if you have enough characters from just the Avengers, they're also bringing in the Guardians So they're going to have meaningless 30-second cameos from about 4 dozen characters? Based on the trailer, IW looks like it's going to be a complete mess. Lol, no it dosen't. it looks its going to be amazing. Don't worry I know you don't understand how an ensemble movie works. They don't have to show them striking a pose or hitting a tire. we already know them unlike the dceu aproach were unknows have to be explained like we are 4 year olds. They can just, you know, interact with each other. you are so stupid.

I'm not getting sucked into the swirling vortex of this circular argument you're strangely stuck on since it just goes nowhere; we'd be better off arguing about, like, abortion or the Israelis and the Palestinians. You know? So, you read any good books lately? You see any cool (non-MCU) movies? I've been rereading a lot of Stephen King lately in preparation for IT and Dark Tower later this year. I've also just gotten my hands on the Classic Godzilla box set recently. Nice. I'm looking forward to It too. I'm halfway through The Secret History of Twin Peaks and also just started whatever the hell volume of Saga came after issue #30. Just started rewatching Arrested Development again, too. Good times.

The fact they didn't puss out and give it a PG-13 rating gives me hope their hearts and minds are in the right place. And the fact they're inserting hints of "the turtle" in the trailers also raises my expectations. I liked the TV Mini-Series version when I was a kid, but it does not hold up. I never got the fact to get into Twin Peaks, unfortunately. Its never on any channel I get and the box set still costs WAY too much. I'm frankly baffled they're continuing it.

Based on the trailer, IW looks like it's going to be a complete mess. Poor little DC-Fan, jealous of the MCU's success and how far they've come. And they're not going to be cameos as you clearly see both teams fighting Thanks, so they all will play an integral part of the story. You're just saying it's a mess because I've been criticizing the Justice League trailer. Maybe you should be a little more specific like I was before you just go ahead and call it messy.

When all's said and done, this could be the biggest movie ever. Not in Box Office, but in sheer scope and content.
There are 60+ characters, several villains, different dimensions (allegedly), spaceships, intergalactic war, exploding planets, and Captain America with a beard.
It'll be big. Bigger isn't always better, but ya, it'll be big.

That's my point. It all depends on how and what kind of story the creator wants to tell. And if the creator wants to tell a story where the villain totally overshadows the protagonist, it means they had no faith in the protagonist to carry the film on their own. Laziness. Not at all. Maybe they just saw more potential in the villain. After all, nobody says that about The Killing Joke and even The Dark Knight. The Joker dominates both stories and overshadows Batman. And both are considered two of the best Batman stories. It's not laziness. It's just a different way to tell a story.

If Burton was unable to see the potential in Batman, then he shouldn't have been taking on making a Batman movie. And The Joker did not overshadow Batman in The Dark Knight.

I still like aspects of the Mini-Series, such as Curry's performance and the child actor's excellent performances. We get to see The Joker he might have been (since he auditioned for both the Burton film and The Animated Series, but got turned down both times).

If they see more "potential" in the villain then that proves they didn't care about the hero. As for Dark Knight, it's because of Heath Ledger dying. It made the movie immune to proper criticism at the time. Killing Joke isn't that good, it's just that since Alan Moore wrote it fans again put it on some imaginary pedestal.

As I've pointed out, there are plenty of stories that focused more on the villain. It doesn't mean they didn't care about the hero. And even if they didn't, that doesn't affect the story's quality. Batman still makes lists of best comic book movies. And The Killing Joke was a seminal comic even when it was released. Regardless of who wrote it. You can't just dismiss The Dark Knight and The Killing Joke because of Ledger and Moore. That's a gross oversimplification and blatantly ignores all the other factors that made both stories so successful.

Batman is on that list because for the most part his movies never had serious competition out at the same time. Killing Joke has plenty of problems, ones that get ignored thanks to Moore's name on the book.

That's like saying stories that focus on the hero mean the writers didn't care about the villains. It's all about what kind of story they want to tell and who they want to make the protagonist. Not that they don't care about any of the characters. And yet, almost 30 years have passed, and Batman still makes the lists despite heavy competition since then. Disagree that it's because of Moore's name. It's because it's a good story. Again, saying anything is a success because of one specific thing ignores all the other factors that went into making it a success. Nothing is a success because of only one name.
