I only saw the original in 1977 and hated it so much, that the only one I saw after that was Phantom (my kid pleaded for me to take him). I liked Phantom better, though it wasn't exactly good. Glad jar-jar pissed off so many people. They got to feel my reaction to C3P0. I'm with you. Don't get the love for the franchise either. Had no interest in see any of the movies that followed. Was never a Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter or Star Trek fan either - to each their own - I've got my dorky hobbies that people spit upon like Shark Week on Discovery and Old School Professional Wrestling and Horror movies - to each their own - never gravitated to this stuff.. This guy just doesn't get it.

Saw Fellowship - It was okay, but completely blew up my imaginary pictures of the characters and was too action oriented compared to the book. So I stopped there. Love Trek. But the original series and cast. Old school wrestling? Bruno Sammartino, Killer Kowalski, Gorilla Monsoon, Ivan Koloff, Andre the Giant, The Mongols, Louie Cerdan, Lou Albano, Toru Tanaka, Bobo Brazil, Pedro Morales, and Crusher Verdu?

You're more 'old school' than me and could probably tutor me and teach me a lot of stuff. When I say old school - I'm fascinated when WWF 'boomed' around the Wrestlemania era - but was intrigued by the 'other product' - the NWA. Love watching old school NWA clips with Flair and the Horseman, Nikita Koloff, The Road Warriors - that's 'Old School' to me - I love Youtubing 'Old School' Territories with 100 people in the gym with wrestlers working for like 5 bucks a night trying to make a name for themselves. Great movie I saw in the theater and own - 'The Wrestler' with Mickey Rourke - won some awards - should have won a ton more - same director did Requeium For a Dream - Darren Antrovsky (sp?) - heart wrenching and epic - told the tale of a beaten up old wrestler who didn't take care of himself or plan for when he got older - and as he got older - life was harder to deal with. Can't reccommmend it enough

Bugs Bunny Fox Mulder Angel/Angelus I'm a giant 'Horror' Dork. I never gave the X-Files a chance and I'm willing to bet I would have liked it. How many episodes of the X-Files would you say bordered on Horror as opposed to 'Sci-Fi'. There had to be at least a handful out there over the years correct? Call me crazy - but I think I remember an episode revolving around a 'wolf like' character - i.e. 'The Wolf Man' X-Files had quite a bit horror, S1-5 is among the best tv ever. I also recommend Angel if you've never seen it

They're the wrestlers I knew as a kid, along with Superstar Billy Grahm, Dean Ho and Tony Garea, Chief Jay Strongbow, The Valiant Brothers, The Blackjacks etc. It's a damn shame Ivan Koloff never made the HOF before he died, but it's all about politics and todays fan who believe wrestling began with Hogan or the attitude era
