It'll all be OK
I love the MCU. And I believe in love. Only love will truly save the world.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: The MCU just does not respect Thor at all.
I remember news where Kevin Feige specifically argued with the directors of the first two Thor movies to cut down runtime of the movies to under 2 hours. And you can feel it in those movies, there were quite a number of scenes that felt too rushed. Then they're doing it again with this movie. But for some reason, the MCU has absolutely no problem making every Ironman, Captain America or even GotG movie longer than 2 hours. Heck even Ant-man and Dr. Strange have longer running times than Thor: Ragnarok, and they didn't need to cover as much ground.
As if that wasn't enough, Thor gets a lot of his scenes cut out from team-up movies like AoU. He had the 2nd to the least amount of screentime even though he's one of the main 4 Avengers.

I love the MCU. And I believe in love. Only love will truly save the world.Well said. That is sentimental but true. I wish they would remember basic human sentiment in these silly movies where they believe saving the world means endless brawling because of mommy-issues and discussing the seize of beefcake shite in between.

The director doesn't make long movies. If it means less filler, I'm not complaining.

I thought the Dark World was well paced, but I don't dislike that film like others do. Honestly we're gaining time here, since TDW was 112 minutes long and showed Jane on screen for 25 minutes and Darcy for 9 minutes. That leaves 34 minutes of devoted screen time for other characters in this film that don't take space in TDW.

Will it be considered irony when ragnarok is the end of the mcu?

Will it be considered irony when ragnarok is the end of the mcu? Don't even count on it. MCU still has 5 more films in Phase 3 after 'Thor: Ragnarok'. And that's without mentioning that the runtime has no bearing with the quality of a final film.

Well Thor 1+2 weren't great films. You make them longer and they may very well have fewer positive reviews.

Thor 1 could have used more time showing Thor's transition into humility plus developing his relationship with Jane. Thor TDW could have used way more time developing Malekith.
