Love them all, but if I had to pick 1 it would be Sophia. Her one liners still crack me up.

I could watch Bea Arthur in anything(even Mame). Her sense of timing and her way with a wise crack could only be equalled by Eve Arden who I remember playing Bea's aunt Lola on an old episode of Maude. Next in line is Blanche who's vanity and self centeredness were so over the top you could only laugh. Sophia was a riot but I liked her best when Dorothy finally let lose a few zingers of her own when Sophia's insults became too much. Warmhearted cuddly Rose is my least favorite simply bec I don't care for dumb bunnies.

? Although I really liked all the golden girls characters / actresses  . I actually voted for - Blanche - Rue McClanahan  . Also just adored her old school southern charm definitely my first favorite  . The rest of the girls are as follows : 2. Sophia - Estelle Getty 3. Rose - Betty White 4. Rose. Sophia is great foil for any of them, yet when she tries to fly solo, it's weird.

Hard choice as they are all good in their own way but I went for Blanche first of all. She's too funny.
