If only MCU fanboys could learn some respect from their role models! I'm a huge MCU fan and Wonder Woman is my favorite summer movie. I respect what Chris Hemsworth said. Especially: "It’s not a competition, it’s all love.” But I assume what you meant by 'fanboys' are the argumentative, hard-headed, hypocritical fans who don't have a single bad thing to say about anything having to do with Marvel films.

Yes, the fanboys like ArArchStanton and formersamhmd. formersamhmd is such a zombie fanboy that he still refuses to admit that there would be no comic book superheroes today if not for Superman and there would be no Avengers and no MCU today if not for Superman: The Movie.

Agreed. DC did pretty much everything first. The comics, the serials, TV shows, movies. There wasn't a decent movie based on Marvel comics until maybe Blade in 1998, or more likely X-Men in 2000. Even before WW when I didn't really like the DCEU movies so far, I could admit to that. It's not like.. an opinion.. it's just a fact of the way, you know, dates and time work lol.

Before MCU, WB had announced a Justice League Mortal movie to be directed by George Miller before it was cancelled. And 2007's I Am Legend had a billboard for a Batman vs Superman movie. So WB was already considering a shared cinematic universe before MCU and it was only a matter of time before the DCEU was created.
Moreover, DC did already create the 1st shared cinematic universe for superhero movies in 1984. So DC already had a shared cinematic universe a quarter of a century before MCU and it was only a matter of time before DC created another shared cinematic universe with the DCEU.

I don't think there would have been an influx of movie universes at all without the success of the MCU. But I do believe they would have a made a film like Batman vs Superman or Justice League eventually. They were about to make Justice League: Mortal, and it seems like they wanted to have Tim Burton's Batman and cancelled Superman exist in the same universe. Off-topic but it's kind of awesome to imagine an alternate universe where Tim Burton was basically the Zack Snyder of some sort of 90s DCEU. But yes, I don't think the DCEU as it stands now would exist without the MCU.

No, superheroes would've existed without him. He was very archetypal, which means easy to come up with and easily replaced.
