That's what I heard, so I'll eventually check it out. I was hoping HBO would eventually show the extended cut.
However, there was very little that was clumsy about Civil. It was one of the tightest super hero movies I've ever seen. Everything made sense and that is coming from someone who hasn't really loved most of the Marvel Universe movies.
That said, construction is not as important as exhilaration coupled with proper characterization which is something BvS failed at miserably in addition to construction. Superman didn't act like Superman and Batman was an idiot for going after Superman. It was the epitome of clunky that is made more unforgiveable by the notion that the extended cut ran smoother.
It was very much Sucker Punch with a bigger budget.

In your opinion, on which we differ, hey one man's meat and all that.
and Batman was an idiot for going after Superman.
You think? I disagree, and the many comics written that do just that, in particular The Return of The Dark Knight, would disagree.
Clumsy may not be an opinion. Would need more detail. It may have more to do with not understanding the storyline. For example, BvS made no sense and was clunky since they literally cut out part of the plot for the movie which is why the extended cut is supposed to make it better. I saw nothing like in Civil War without an example, but I bet it;s a strng possibility that the issues denoted as clunky are simply parts of the story not understood as opposed to being omitted. Comprehension is not necessarily a storyline weakness.

tpfkar "Correct" is bad for many, if this board is any indication at all. It is well within your rights to have correct opinions too, but since you liked BvS more than Civil War, we'll have to wait a while for that one.

I have completely understood the storyline behind Civil War, however it was still clumsy and, IMO, not very enjoyable. A disappointment after the sterling work of Winter soldier despite the dire First Avenger.

A person who just says something is clumsy holds no weight so I was just giving you the opportunity to explain it. Rather than patronizing, think of it more as a challenge. You are under no obligation to explain so it;s no big deal. I'm just saying that without that explanation, I assume you are mislabeling "I didn't like it" with something more technical like "clumsy" We do it all the time when there is a movie we don't like &/or understand.

Just a couple of things that spring to mind straight off; it's as if the sides have been arbitrarily determined, Ant Man - has some good scenes but it's like he doesn't understand why he's up against Stark. Spiderman is introduced to the film in a less than smooth manner, and when he is being watched in action it's as if Iron Man/Captain America who? And I just didn't believe the whole Stark being eaten up in another movie thing. It didn't cross over.
