The Dons made it through the last round after a goalless first leg v Siroki from Bosnia. They currently lead Apollon from Cyprus one-nothing (Christie) in Scotland with '25 gone. Everton (live on ITV4) line up against Ruzomberok from Slovakia at Goodison and should see them off with ease. Rooney has started.

Good luck Everton and Aberdeen but not watching. Delighted to see ITV4 are showing Liverpool-BayernMunich on Tuesday night, will be first match to be watching since that Confederates cup.

HT : Aberdeen one up, but a second would be handy for the return leg.

This new Everton shirt makes it look like the players are sweating like mad underarm, like Lee Evans in a sauna. Sweat shirt

HT : Not quite the barrage of goals that might have been anticipated and Everton have made a mockery of their 1/14 pre-match odds (currently 1/3) despite knocking it about quite well. As the half wore on, the visitors were gaining more and more of the possession pie-chart. But it's potless at Goodison with neither side finding paydirt.

Dear me. Jander squares it up on the hour for Apollon - a valuable away strike there.

Apollon down to ten men on '70 (Sachetti dismissed) Twenty minutes for Aberdeen to make it pay.

Everton, the only decent EPL-side from Liverpool in the English football - good luck!

Everton get away with it as the visitors rattle the bar on '57.

The introduction of Sandro on the hour immediately seemed to give Everton an injection of urgency and three minutes later Everton veteran Leighton Baines fired in a powerful left-footer for one-nothing.

Aberdeen take a rather frail-looking 2-1 lead to Cyprus next week, but will need to keep a beady eye on the second-leg Apollon response.

One Everton pot and that's your lot. They'll go through, surely, but, with respect to the visitors, I would have liked them to have shown me a bit more than this tonight. The travelling fans seemed happy enough, though.
