He's had his playing ban reduced by five months and will be eligible to play again in June 2018 instead of October '18. The FA Appeal Board has described the initial ban as "excessive in the circumstances". Meanwhile, the FA has refused Barton's offer to play in a Grenfell Tower charity match (GAME4GRENFELL) in September at Loftus Road, as the game will be sanctioned by the FA. Names already lined up for the event include Shearer, Seaman and Trevor Sinclair.
