No Ordinary Family Firefly Constantine Battlestar Galactica (It had revivals, but only one season in its original run) Totally never heard of No Ordinary Family.. I assume you are posting it because you liked it? Did it have an ending? Seems like something totally different for Michael Chiklas. Thanks Yeah I liked it, but I am into shows like that. Superpowers and superheroes and all that. The show ended on a cliffhanger and never got a definitive ending.

Surface and Threshold were two good sci-fi shows that were just getting interesting when the season ended and that was that.

A bit puzzled by the responses, Daisy wanted shows along the lines of a sitcom, yet people have posted one season shows of any variety

Sorry, Daisy. I somehow missed seeing (or more likely just forgot, since my memory’s not great) what you said under the “Can anyone think of any shows that were cancelled after only one season?” part of your post. I’ll make sure to read your posts more carefully in future.
I’m unfamiliar with any of those shows you were hoping for suggestions along the lines of, but one ‘sitcom type’ show I watched and enjoyed which only lasted one season was The Crazy Ones with Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Tracker, a very good show. I think its cancellation was directly related to a lack of marketing. Most people did not know it was on, or which channel it was on. Earth 2 was also cancelled after 1 season. Time Trax was also a good show, gone too soon, but at least this one lasted two seasons.

Intruders (2014) on BBC America. This show had good reviews and was cancelled for some in godly reason after 1 season. Millie Bobby Brown who stars as Eleven in Stranger Things (2nd season upcoming) also starred in this show and was excellent.

Can anyone think of any shows that were cancelled after only one season? Such as Suburbia, Hank, Father of the Pride... Anything along the lines of a sitcom that I can mindlessly watch knowing it comes to an end soon, even if they are bad. Probably why they only lasted one season. Currently not feeling well and wasting way too much time watching shows. I like mindless stuff when I don't feel well though Thank you, thank you for wasting your time for me!! There was a show on the CW starring Sarah Michelle Gellar called Ringer a cable TV show (can't remember the network) called Carnivale ABC's "V" reboot

Some mini-series From the Earth to the Moon (1998) The Hatfields & McCoys (2012) The Astronauts Wives Club (2015)

Models Inc.!
Not a sitcom, but pretty mindless.
As for sitcoms, I remember Public Morals from 1996 and The Tony Danza Show and Union Square from 1997.

This thread is bringing back memories. I liked a lot of shows on here and forgot they even existed.

I think Freaks and Geeks is probably the best one season wonder I've seen. Check out True Detective Season 1 if that counts, since it's an anthology series and has new characters each season.
Some fun supernatural shows like American Gothic and Point Pleasant had potential.
There were a couple of two season shows I really liked, such as Tru Calling with Eliza Dushku and Life with Damien Lewis. But, for the most part, shows usually only last one season for a reason.

I always felt that Terriers was an excellent show (I didn't see it mentioned above).
