I'd be way too hard pressed to name just one; it's rare to encounter an artist who was so unflinchingly autobiographical in his own music, and Lennon left one hell of an impressive catalogue of songs where he laid himself bare to the listener. Any of them would go on my list.

My favorite song he made when including his work as a member of The Beatles is easily Strawberry Fields Forever, but for his solo career I'd go with Instant Karma. Even though tbh I haven't heard all of his solo work yet.
