Only because I recently re-watched + the director's commentary pointing out their sunset money shot of Kong's reveal. The sun never really sets lols. It doesn't seem to be nighttime until well after they've discovered the native village. I know they had several key shots imagined well in advance to sell the project, including that sunset Kong. You would think they'd have dealt logic a better hand around those focal moments yes?
Anyways, it doesn't deter at all from my enjoyment, it's a lot of fun... besides, we're talking a mystical island full of terrestrial sci-fi organisms the size of buildings roaming around.

Agreed, but be careful. The director is on the warpath for any criticisms lately.
