I know it's still a bit early - but as soon as August hits - I start to get that 'itch' and start ramping up a bit more with horror movies. Slightly cooler weather is ahead, football camps are in full swing, gets darker just a 'bit' earlier. Once the kids go back to school and especially after the NFL has played their first regular season game - I go into 'Full Blown Halloween' mode around the first week of September or so. Anybody else start getting geared up a bit early?

I'm the same in sense. Love horror. Once Halloween is over I start to get geared up for Thanksgiving - Christmas. Love that season. Turkey, college football. Once Christmas is over - pretty much time to switch gears again............

The 3rd Saturday in September. It's the day of the town's fall festival and just seems appropriate, for some reason in recent years I've also found appropriate to kick off the Halloween season with Vincent Price's Masque of the Red Death, it's becoming a tradition.

Think he's the worst Jason too.

They embraced the schtick of it and poked fun of themselves more often than not. A lot of horror franchises have this happen once the fright wears off and fans have become more favorable to the killer than the heroes.

Kane Hodder's Jason just felt like an entirely different character to me. My favorite Jason's 3 (Richard Brooker) FvJ (beat me if he must - Ken Kirzinger) 4 (Ted White) Hodder to me looked like an NFL linebacker or a WWE wrestler 'hulking up' looking to take out a victim

Whoever it was. It was about the only thing I liked about the remake. Part 3 and Part 6 round out my top 3 Jason's.

The characters are all terrible tho. The best Fridays have a few redeamable victims but the remake had none. It's still at least as good as a few other sequels, but it'll never be near the top of my list.
