'Indiscreet' is a sassy, snippy comedy from Leo McCarey in which two sisters find their love lives crossing over. Fashion designer Geraldine Trent (Gloria Swanson) is having trouble with charmless cad Jim Woodward (Monroe Owsley) that can't be fixed so she gives him his marching orders. With country bumpkin Buster Collins (Arthur Lake) on the horizon, word reaches that Gerry's kid sister Joanie (Barbara Kent) is coming to visit, and she may have her own man in tow. Into the mix comes Tony Blake (Ben Lyon) as Aunt Kate (Maude Eburne) struggles to teach her nieces the unwholesome truth about men. Gloria Swanson
Barbara Kent
The first thing that hits about 'Indiscreet' is that it's a fine looking film with not one but two distinguished operators active behind the camera, Ray June and Gregg Toland. Gloria Swanson is sensational as Gerry Trent, whose looks could scald any suitor, though she's just as quick to deliver a tongue-lashing. Matching Swanson's ferocity is Maude Eburne as her explosive aunt while Barbara Kent brings a firmament of wit to the picture as Gerry's sprightly sister. This racy comedy about family, the generations and the love between sisters boasts not one but two tasty numbers sung by Swanson, "If You Haven't Got Love" and "Come To Me", the former ushered in by a piano intro underscoring a sequence in which Swanson takes a sexy shower, gives herself a saucy pat-down and then gets seated for a musical fashion tutorial. Favourite comedy moment - the sisters reminisce over a family photo album. Check it out! Miss Hollywood 1925 - Barbara Kent

As someone who like me who loves Moviestars and their history like me, it should have been obligatory to at least see one silent movie with Gloria, but sadly I haven't. Seen her in Sunset Boulevard and I'm ashamed to admit Airport 75. and What's my Line TV

I must admit I don't enjoy those 'Airport' movies.
