Being left as the last one on a thread. I believe that's called the "thread killer" ? I'm a serial thread killer. A thread can be very popular and lively, then I make a post on it, and BAM, the thread is dead. I'm a serial serial killer thread thread killer. A thread about serial killers can be very popular and lively, then I make a post on it, and BAM, the thread is deader than one of Jeffrey Dahmers victims.

mszanaduInteresting seeing the "official definitions". They emphasize the deliberate murder of a thread. Way I see it .... Often it's just that others in a thread wander off and don't bother to read what has been written to them even if they are tagged or quoted. Many only write to those in their particular "clique". Lotsa reasons other than cold blooded murder. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

There are yet so many computer terms and new to me computer features from on the web and forums here as well that I still don't know of ![](https://s26.postimg.org/tek3suwt5/laugh.gif) . Also as I have mentioned on this forum a few times before - I'm very old school ![](https://s26.postimg.org/vdndyf3x5/winkgrin.gif) .

mszanadu There's terms that are thrown around and the users are clueless what they mean. Like the poor rather clueless souls who start all sorts of off the wall threads and then shout TROLL at anyone who challenges the idiocy contained within. Seems to them, posting nonsense that is sure to get negatively discussed is not "trolling" but pointing out the nonsense is !
Ahhh .. yes, the joys of internet ! Gotta love the opportunity to meet all sorts of people. At least on line there is the refuge of the "ignore" feature. When it's your off-line relatives it's not so easy to deal with fools. (Deliberate or accidental)

When it's your off-line relatives it's not so easy to deal with fools. (Deliberate or accidental) In the case of family sometimes it does seem to be an obligation but as you mentioned here - " At least on line there is the refuge of the "ignore" feature. " ![](https://s26.postimg.org/tek3suwt5/laugh.gif) . Also of course on the positive side as you mentioned here regarding the internet - " Gotta love the opportunity to meet all sorts of people." ![](https://s26.postimg.org/vdndyf3x5/winkgrin.gif) . IMPO - At least in this life that even if things can appear negative we can always count on the positive not being too far away we just can't have one without the other here either ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) . Thanks again Bat Outtaheck for all your replies here too ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) .

If something is random, how could I know if it would annoy me or not? Common things that annoy me however, now that is something I can answer.

...gross incompetence especially by politicians and others in the public sector... I'm frankly more annoyed by those who vote for the grossly incompetent.

I'll start watching a show, then somewhere between 15 to 30 minutes later someone in the next room will also start watching it.

The sound of styrofoam inserts being pulled out of a cardboard box. The texture and feel of styrofoam in general, actually.
People walking ahead of me on the street that are moving slowly enough to ensure I'll catch up with them but quickly enough to ensure that I'll have to awkwardly walk alongside them for a couple of seconds if I try to pass at the same speed.
Foil or plastic packages that are perforated too close to the edge or otherwise just tear off some packaging and don't open.
Sporks. I just don't see the point.

People that pull their car or trunk out in front of you then drive slow. It like they are in a hurry and then don't even go the speed limit.

DVD cases that make the part that goes into the hole of the disc longer so you can stack 3-5 discs on top of each other

Americans on IMDb who refer to a TV show being a "great BBC series" even though the show actually aired on ITV. This may shock some people, but a number of the British shows shown on PBS during the 1970s/1980s weren't from the BBC, but from ITV (or in some cases Channel 4). I've also seen people from other countries do this. It bugs me.

Matthew the SwordsmanRE: BBC being mis-used. Way I see it ... It's sort of a generic thing. Anything that is good and is from the UK and shown on PBS is automatically called "BBC". It's rather like facial tissues are all called KLEENEX despite what it may say on the box. In some parts of the country all "soft drinks" are called "COKE" even if they are not even in the cola family. Most of the shows are not labelled until the very end as to who actually made/presented them in the country of origin and I would guess that the majority of people never even look at who made what, no matter in which country they originated. I would think that you notice such things because you seem to be a fan of tv-minutia and details. Yah ?
